Plastic waste instead of sandy beaches, pictures of animals dying as a result of plastic parts, and microplastics in the human body have given Kathrin a wake-up call. In 2012, she finally decided to take a stand against the deluge of plastic and has been living almost plastic-free ever since.
In the film, she talks about the effects plastic has on people and the environment, how she personally organises her everyday life plastic-free, and the challenges she has to overcome.
Today, Kathrin supports sustainable start-ups, gives lectures, and is involved in associations and action forums that advocate a plastic-free life. Kathrin wants to motivate other people to engage more with the issue, because everyone can make a contribution and do something for a clean environment and a liveable future.
