    Grew Moonbeam last year. Very tasty and productive tomato. Husband who is not a biggest tomato fan really liked them too.
    Great video Jen!

      Yes Moonbeam was a very productive and tasty one. I’m hoping to double the amount of cherry varieties I grow this year. Lots of taste testing to come.

    BTW Jen, You make all that hard work that you put into the garden and videography look easy. Your labor of love is saving me many years of gardening to find the great tomatoes. I keep telling myself I HAVE ENOUGH FOR THIS SEASON....then I watch another of your videos and go shopping!!! Happy New Year and may all your hard work pay back 10 fold.

    I love Barry's Crazy Cherry. It isn't the absolute best tasting tomato but it is very good. The things that will make me plant this again are that it is insanely productive and has very little cracking. Best of all is that at the end of the season I picked all of the remaining fruit to ripen inside. Those little tomatoes ripened beautifully with good flavor and we were eating them well into December in Montana. My 2 yr old grandson, Fred would run to the tomato box the minute he got here and start grazing. They have to taste good for a 2 yr old to love them!

    • @jencordial
      @jencordial  7 місяців тому

      Wow. That’s incredible. You must please tell me what is a tomato box. It sounds like something I need in my life if it’s storing your tomatoes for months. 😊

    • @SerialSpinner-ss
      @SerialSpinner-ss 7 місяців тому

      @@jencordial Ha! The tomato box is just a big flat box from Costco with a layer of ripening tomatoes in it. I stack them up by the sliding door in the living room and anyone can snag a tomato or three whenever they want. The top box holds all the cherry and small tomatoes because they are usually the ones we want to munch on. Barry's Crazy tomatoes ripen to yellow and then stay good for weeks. Little Fred would always pick them out of the assortment. I had to teach him to keep his lips closed while chomping down so the juice doesn't squirt out. 😂. Sarah

    yay on the Green Doctors! So prolific and yummy. Best snacker for me is Pink Tiger. The whole tiger series is fantastic. Same with Agi Red.
    Now I gotta try the Green Bumblebee.

    Bananas noir and creamsicle grape are on my list. I actually added creamsicle grape as soon as I saw your seed haul. The name is irresistible. Since bananas noir is so new, I would love to select for a saladette size. Super sweet 100 has one of my favorite tomato flavors… but the flavor doesn’t really shine until later in the season. But I can’t say I’ve tried hundreds. Probably 75.

    i love your taste test videos and the best of series is even more cool, thanks a lot jen & ben! next year i'll be growing again ivas sweet white, i guess the sweetest cherry i've grown to date, unfortunately it cracks easily in rainy conditions. although i didn't grew any of the märchen-varierties yet, i think the variety is called märchenengel (fairytale angel). keep on growing, greetings from germany 🙂

    • @jencordial

      Yes you are right. I keep misspelling it which is horrible. I appreciate your correction. I’m growing the rest of the series this year.

      Snow white was close to Midnight Snack and Chocolate Sprinkles in my container garden. Snow White was the most productive of the 30 cherries I grew. If you have not tried it, you might consider it. I tried it once and it was a failure, but we were in drought conditions. I gave it a 2nd season and am glad I did.
      I appreciate how thorough you are in your reviews.

    What do you do with your excess tomatoes? Do you supply a food pantry or a school? No way you and Ben can eat hundreds of plants worth. I really enjoy the descriptions you and Ben provide as many channels simply say “juicy” or “delicious” which doesn’t really capture the nuances.

    • @jencordial
      @jencordial  7 місяців тому +3

      😊thank you so much. My excess gets given away to my neighborhood. This year I’m thinking about setting up a table at the end of my driveway. That way even more of my neighbors can enjoy them.
