    Explained good. But I feel due to a few steps in between which you didn't show was how did you get to take that roller fan out?

      You need to remove the entire assembly from the top first, to do this there are around 10 screws around the top edge holding the top plate in place..
      Remove the entire top plate..
      then there is one Allen screw on the fan holding the fan to the shaft, loosen that screw enough so that the fan will slide around on the shaft of the motor, then you remove the 3 screws from the bracket that is holding the motor in place, and remove the motor..

    Does it have to be the same kind of blower motor? Is it possible to just swap one from another Amana PTAC Unit that's a different Model?

      It depends on the motor..
      If it will mount up and plug into the same board then it should work, but then if it did it would probably have the same part number..
      This same fan motor is used in a few different models tho so it definitely could be interchangeable..
      If your Ptac is an older model than this one, then the fan motor is completely different.. I have a video for those also..

    Where do you order your fan motors from?

    • @williamblanks8500
      @williamblanks8500  2 роки тому +2

      We usually order them straight from Amana, but someone recently told me about PTAC4LESS, I think they are the cheapest and they usually have them in stock.. That's where we will probably order them from now on.. I have supplied a link to the website below..

    They are called temp sensors

      They are temp sensors, but according to the manual they are called thermistors.. There are 4 for this type of PTAC..
