Hopefully I speak for a lot of people out there, we just want some videos with your commentary. The family videos are always welcome and anything you're up to, we're always interested in. Glad to see a video from you and Merry Christmas to everyone in your family from mine! Happy New Year and best wishes for all your endeavours in the future
Just found your channel this past weekend. Watched several videos so far. I grew up on a farm and really miss it. These videos bring back lots of memories of growing up on a farm in the '80's.
This is a cool way of doing things when selling the grain. Here on the east coast I don’t see this setup but maybe once in my life. Cool vid man thanks for teaching the public about agriculture!! 👍🏼
always another job for the mighty MO! when i was a kid we had a U and a vista 1000. not too bad if you only had to shovel up 5 bushels from an entire bag. good stuff Maynard!!
Zach you make things interesting even when things get tough on the farm when thing don't go as planed. Liked you comment about the grain bag when empty you can make it a slip n slide when you cover yourself in dish soap and slid all the way to town right to the Bar for a Beer.
You are the man very awesome i am a loyal fan of your channel for sure very informative love it that's coming from an ol truck driver out here wondering around the country side
Found your channel a few months ago and we've been watching the old episodes. We've seen these bags in fields and not knowing any better always thought they were covered hay bales. Didn't realize they were probably sitting in a corn or bean field. Anyway, we've seen a few of these now as we've been out and about and it's kinda cool to know what they are. Thanks!
Wow Zach, you finished up the bag exactly like I do, Nobody told me either. I have a little JD 6140 hook up to the bag auger and it was very hard to keep it pulling straight. Had to steer it constantly. Worst part though was how slow it was to fill the bags. In grain harvest we had to rotate our carts thru to keep us harvesting in the field and sending trucks to the grain bins at the same time. We do Wheat and barley.
Thanks for the info on the grain bags. Just passed one in Ohio today and I knew all about them. I am just an IT guy and know nothing about farming. But I am learning......thx
Another great video. Glad to hear you made extra money. The slip n slide is a great idea, I bet your lovely wife and kids would love it to. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
There is a grain elevator near where I live that fills up 30 bags or so every year. About 3 weeks ago, they had one split the whole length of the bag. They got most of it cleaned up but there are thousands of black birds getting a free meal.
Still a kid at heart I love it you have some good videos buddy. The rest of the story Travis was talking about how well you've progressed your Channel. And I was thinking that's because you put out good content keep it up Zach have a good week
I wonder if those bags can be recycled or if they are just waste. Been watching a ton of your videos, and it's refreshing to see someone my age that is still in farming and is as knowledgeable about it as you are. I do like the comment about making the worlds longest slip and slide out of them.
Not sure how I got here this is all cool stuff! A buddy at work gave me some of that plastic from his folks farm to build a back yard ice rink and it works awesome 👍
Love the videos Zack keep up the great videos I love watching them I work for a huge farm operation outta Wells Mn and Albert lea Mn so it's nice too see another great Mn operation in action
It to bad they havent found a way to re use those bags yet... BUT... your on the right track....there is a guy here who runs a bunch of activites in the summer and he uses his used bags for the big slip and slide on the big hill. Works Great. Looks so warm there.!!
Northern farmer Its been a warm winter so far. Highs have been 25-30 a lot. I suppose you don't speak fahrenheit?! Haha, it always looks cold on your vids!
great vid. I hate using bags, rather put the money into more bins. As for the last little bit left at the end, shoveling is the easiest way to pick it up. We find shoveling onto a conveyor to clean it up the easiest
Try using the green rope that comes with the bag to tie off the starting end, then tuck the end underneath as you start filling. That way when you unload the bag, it can stretch around the auger guard instead of trying to break 2x4s. When I found this out I was left with 5 bushels or so to scoop.
You should sell those empty bags to inflatable playground equipment providers. Like you said, it would be a heck of a slip-n-slide on any kind of slope.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing Millennial Farmer! Clean treatment of the grain! Great job👍 What is the destiny of the ethanol produced form it, can you show one day the trucks journey, if you don't have covered it already?
Great to see an old Minneapolis still working the farm. Not sure what model that is but I've always wanted a 302 or a 4 star Minneapolis Moline. You make that slip'n slide I'll join your party slide to the bar!
You had better luck with the bags than we did. We had to put about 1000 acres worth of irrigated corn in bags..deer, mice, and lord knows what else tore holes in them!
not sure what you ended up doing with the empty bag. noticed u stretched it out. we usually just pulled the tractor forward and backward a bunch of times to make it into a pile until its unrolled. then use loader to push into smaller piler. light it up at night. seen guys round bale them up after stretching them up like u did too tho.
they also make a 12 volt heat stamp deal u hook up to ur pickup battery, it heats the bags up enough so they melt together to seal the bags up rather than having to use the 2x4s nailed together. Also look up the grain bag zipper. It looks even better.
Indiana Malt around here we have only seen a lot of them in 2012 and 2017. We had a huge crop in 2012 (I know, the rest of the country didn't) and this year nobody wants to sell anything so all the bins are full.
I want to say thank you for making all that corn and selling it to make ethanol it helps produce the fuel that I use instead of race gas... cuz race gas is crazy expensive and E85 is just as good but $2 a gallon... thank you.
One year we used bags for wheat and barley. The racoons and deer tore the bags up every night. The deer were only interested in the barley. We went through lots of Gorilla Tape that fall.
At the end of the bag, you did exactly what you're supposed to do. Some of the other brands I sell have a small hopper on the back at the bottom of the unload auger that you can shovel into but Loftness hasn't done that yet.
When you loaded these bags I was wondering how you unload them. Thanks for showing us non-farmers how you work. Great video!
snakerancher me too

I never realized how much the harvest was handled until it was sold....thanks for teaching us! Thanks for posting!
“...and side straight into the bar” 😂
Good video! I like the slip & slide into the bar idea.....I'd watch that for sure.
That was with out a doubt the best video yet. What a GREAT grain bag set up.
Just found your channel this past weekend. Watched several videos so far. I grew up on a farm and really miss it. These videos bring back lots of memories of growing up on a farm in the '80's.

We use those for church slip and slides each year! The kids have a blast!
Enjoying a good laugh! “It took all three of the monkeys in this .....” Great job - thanks for showing an innovative way to safely store corn.

Those bags probably expensive but sure is a great way to get the corn off and protected from the weather. Thanks for the good information.
Love that old Minneapolis! Great video! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family to yours!

Impressive on how well those grain bags work. No corn left in the bag.
It’s good to see you having a little fun while you are waiting to load up,and yes it is hard to run in coveralls
I enjoy your very informative videos as well as how your farming up north compared to us down here in South Louisiana. Keep it up Brother!
Great video! Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding job 👍 sometimes it better if you let the machine drag it's feet Also see you got a KW 👍 Have a Merry Christmas and New Year 👍
Giant slip and slide....OH HELL YES.
great vid. I hate using bags, rather put the money into more bins. As for the last little bit left at the end, shoveling is the easiest way to pick it up. We find shoveling onto a conveyor to clean it up the easiest
Kris Cipywnyk we would rather do bins too but they're all full
Kris Cipywnyk seems like we never get enough storage

I love grain bags!! And micro silos!
A very interesting system I’ve never seen these bags in use
jumping over the bag looks fun and i can only hope i would've jumped over with one try
Great video thanks for sharing
Awesome video, thanks for sharing Millennial Farmer! Clean treatment of the grain! Great job👍
What is the destiny of the ethanol produced form it, can you show one day the trucks journey, if you don't have covered it already?
Hey . Enjoying your videos have done a lot of bags like that we used a vac to clean up. It also helps if they too.so you can get going again 👍
Great to see an old Minneapolis still working the farm. Not sure what model that is but I've always wanted a 302 or a 4 star Minneapolis Moline.
You make that slip'n slide I'll join your party slide to the bar!
Bill The Tractor Man she's a rare G-750
MN Millennial Farmer nice, must be a a post white merger Minneapolis Moline on an Oliver frame? Im not familiar with those models.
You had better luck with the bags than we did. We had to put about 1000 acres worth of irrigated corn in bags..deer, mice, and lord knows what else tore holes in them!
We had heard horror stories like that so we knew we didn't want them sitting for very long. I think we got lucky!
Funny as hell. Thanks and have a great Xmas.
I've seen alot of your videos but that's the best 30s I've seen in a long time🤣🤣🤣
I like your videos you do
I️ really like the logo you created.
Those are cool. Never saw that before
Love your videos !
Hey Zac another great video really love them Happy Christmas from Ireland 🎄
“You want a bag of corn?”
“Yeah, sure!”
“Great, but you have to get it yourself”
“Only a bag? No probl......😳”
Great vid guys Smile More God Bless Stay Safe Guys 👍
Yep thats how we finished off our bags too, takes some scooping but beats the hell out of scooping behind a big power sweep auger in a dirty hot bin!
jclark I hate that job...
not sure what you ended up doing with the empty bag. noticed u stretched it out. we usually just pulled the tractor forward and backward a bunch of times to make it into a pile until its unrolled. then use loader to push into smaller piler. light it up at night. seen guys round bale them up after stretching them up like u did too tho.

Thanks for that video learned something new
who ever came up with these bags is a genius
Outstanding 👍... Lol He said slide straight to the bar lmbo
Indiana Malt wish I could!
MN Millennial Farmer Those grain bags are nice . Really don't see them around my part of the country .
Indiana Malt around here we have only seen a lot of them in 2012 and 2017. We had a huge crop in 2012 (I know, the rest of the country didn't) and this year nobody wants to sell anything so all the bins are full.

In the UK farmers just tip in sheds and then when they need to sell it they use telehandler or wheel loaders and load up the trucks like that
still waiting for that slide !!! lol
At the end of the bag, you did exactly what you're supposed to do. Some of the other brands I sell have a small hopper on the back at the bottom of the unload auger that you can shovel into but Loftness hasn't done that yet.
Alex Juel Thanks, I was pretty sure there had to be a better way.
another great video sir👍👍👍
Oh and I definitely want too see the slipnslide idea lol
Love your videos
