    Hello sir ,
    I'm planning to buy new mob but privacy and security is 1st priority considering recent online scam happing through mobile.. affecting private data.. financial data... Hacking and getting access of mob
    So should I consider iphone or google pixel for security.. which is more secure and keep all my things safe?

    what if someone was able to transfer your domain

    • @AllThingsSecured

      That would be bad. Once they have your domain, you can’t get it back (at least not easily).

      Just stick with the big ones like GoDaddy, NameCheap or Google Domains.

    Can you do a video on identity theft protection companies and if they’re worth it? I trust your opinion.
    I’m looking at Aura and LifeLock.

    Hi Josh, first of all congrats for your fabulous work, you do so much for the community 😊 I hope that you dont mind that I tell you this, but please take care of sun burning! I love this channel because even if I don't use or have some of these things it's nice to have more tips for extra security plus in my country there have been many times that the companies and banks that have our information have gotten hacked and it is a horrible mess which made everyone terrified of the internet even me that's why I love watching this stuff 😄

    You repeatedly state "All Domains". I am sure this is accurate with regard to Web2 domains. By the nature of decentralized domains, none of this applies to most Web3 domains.

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  Рік тому +1

      Incorrect. 2FA still applies and I believe DMARC still does as well (if you use the domain for email). Honestly, though, web3 domains still haven’t been widely adopted and even my personal experience with them (both owning and accessing those sites) hasn’t been great.

      @@AllThingsSecured I have numerous Web3 domains with three different blockchains. All of them are completely anonymous as are the associated e-mail on two of them.

    Hey Josh. Can you do a video about “Where does my data go after I empty the recycle bin?”
    Talking to an IT expert I realised this data is actually still stored in the hard drive and a savvy enough hacker could actually retrieve it. But I’m wondering, how likely is it that a hacker could do that remotely?

    • @InfoSecGuardian
      @InfoSecGuardian Рік тому

      Imagine your files are like books in the library. And, to find the book, you need to use the card indexes. All a delete does is remove the card index. The actual file still exists. Once the file is not in the index, it's available to be written over. But, unless another file writes over it, it is still there. Digital Shredders exist that, upon delete, will re-write the file space for X number of times (depending on configuration) so that every bit in the file space has been replaced multiple times. This is about as good as it gets to a real delete. While this method is ideal, and recommended, for the old fashion HDD type drives... the new high speed SSD drives have write limits before their done. So, use of shredders seriously reduces the life of the SSD. Thus, know your drive before using a shredder. Best advise... store important data on HDD type drives... and store applications and system files on SSD drives.

    Hi Josh, love your content as always! And I just activated my domain lock - thanks a million!
    One question: I use Tutanota as my email domain - also thanks to your suggestion. Does that not help me with DMARC or what am I missing? [I will also re-watch that video you mentioned]
    PS I love how you laughed at your own 2FA joke , it felt authentic and a bit geeky :D

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  Рік тому +1

      Hey Steve! Thanks for the note here. DMARC is a good practice no matter which email provider you use, just know that it's really only beneficial if you use you a custom domain to send emails (which is often mostly for businesses, not individuals). If you use an @protonmail.com email address, then you don't need to worry about DMARC at all.
