Good old shade tree mechanics saves you money and is usually a better finished product! Plus it is custom fit to your application. Nice informative video.
Great video as always 👍slowly being tempted to build a hay preservative equipment for my square baler but do know of a guy who mounted one on a rake with the nozzles aimed between the rotars with tank on the front of the tractor, loved your dog's I can see Winnie is Kim's dog, 🐕 and Duncan🐶 is Scott's dog, always like getting dirty when nobody is looking or filming, lol
Two good reasons to put a loop in the pressure gauge hose are to provide some extra should you ever have to replace a hose coupler and to provide a strain relief at each coupler in the system.
Mr. Fix-It man, I was married to one of them too. I hope you're doing alright lady I know you miss your husband. Also miss my husband too. We had 43yrs. I have no idea how long you was married. That you are in my prayers.
Hey, my name is Hans and I also live in NE Texas. I square bale about 25 acres and am interested in installing a preservative sprayer unit. Do you happen to have a parts list of what is needed if I want to build one myself. The retail price you mentioned made me throw up a little bit in my mouth so I want to build one myself. Thanks and enjoy all your videos.
Wow why do you start spraying at 13% moisture what moisture meter do you use? I bale my Bermuda up to 18% with no molding or heating issues using my BHT-2 and HT-PRO.
As picky as some animals are you would think that stinky smell would make them turn up they're noses❓ Especially the horses as they can be very picky. Thanks again for sharing your video👍😁‼️❤️
North Texas Hay---Well then yes I would think they would like it better. Another channel that does hay in Virginia, said he had a woman with horses that wouldn't buy his hay if he had used it on his hay for her! I had never heard of anyone having a problem using it that's why I asked in a round about way😁‼️ Thanks and you two take care.
Hey I've worked alone for the best part of 30 years . I've been told its a hoot to listen to me talk to myself when someone hears, I think its a way to make fewer mistakes if that is possible. Most of the time I call myself a dummy for doing what I just did . Hope you do better than I do sometimes
Maybe, but I've used these connections for 13 years and have never had an issue so I'll take those odds. It's a non corrosive spray it just stinks, no harm to the tractor
North Texas Hay I did a little research and discovered Baler's Choice hay preservative is a buffered Propionic acid. Your video showed up on this Google search page. www.google.com/search?q=hay+preservative&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1
Hi stranger! All of a sudden your videos showed up this morning, had no clue what happened. Glad to see you back!!

Thanks
UA-cam never notified me of this video...Not happy about it cause I love your channel !! Momma's pretty smart, she knows what a coupler is !!
She does

Lol, thanks. That is an interesting concept
Good video. That is the first time I have ever seen a plastic compression fitting.
Neat little things

Good point

You could mount the pressure gauge outside your rear window to eliminate the chances of leaks inside the cab.
I might do that, thanks
I think the poly tank and the ag pump would be the biggest expense out of the build.. nice job!
It gets cheaper in the next video
Do you find that spray hard on the baler at all? Thanks well done 👍🏻
No, it's completely harmless

I can work one up and post it but it might be over the winter

In this area anything over 13 the sweetness goes away unless sprayed
That is intreasting maybe I need to look into that a little better. As I am also trying to make the best Bermuda hay possible. Thanks.
Don’t know why I’d posted so many times sorry.
Great shop video.
Thanks

This acid naturally occurs in their stomachs, if you ask me they like it better

Great Video, are you guys going to be cutting more hay down? And is that why you're going to be spraying, because hard to get it dryed down?👍
Yes
What pressure would you be at if the hay moisture was 18% - 23%
Bermuda Grass hay I wouldn't pick up that wet. Any other grass I wouldn't know
Where you have your spray nozzles mounted do you ever have to get off and clean them?
No
As your wife might say you might not be handsome but you sure are handy LOL good fix saved you lots of money.
It's not how it usually works out
How do you keep Johnson Grass out of your fields? If you spray, what do you use and how often do you spray?
Spot spray in May for Johnson, pre emerge in September and February in this part of the country
What herbicide do you use? And thanks for your reply.
Nice vid!
Thanks
Winnie is so hilarious!
She makes us smile most of the time
What you got there is not bad...I have 180 acres of Orchardgrass under 4 foot of water.
Ouch, sorry to hear that
Have you been told that horses can tell the difference between treated hay vs non treated? Been told cows can. Wondering if I should go this route.
I can say I've never had a horse not eat one.
This chemical naturally occurs in their stomachs
Thank you for answering! I appreciate the info.
If it leaks in the cab that’s the problem with those gauges ,had it happen to me!!
I've used those connections on another sprayer and never had it fail, but if it does it's no big deal just a little stink
do you over seed your hayfield?
We do not
remember to switch on entering a windrow. the guy who does custom baling in my area no so good with that and you know what happens next
Feed it fast
All my hay never got baled it was only 20 acres because of rain and milk hauling job I would love to have a week and a crop like that I be in heaven
I need two weeks dry and I will be ecstatic
wheres part 2 ?
@@NorthTexasHay not boring, like y'alls channel, make more videos!!
When this switch and box dies are you going to screw another one on top of the second one? lol!!!
Lol
nobody likes math! great luck with the hay. what product are you going to use to spray, thanks.1141/115
It's called Green Guard from John Deere

Sounds about right to me
I would rather see a digital readout in the cab, than see 25 psi acid leaking in the cab.
Maybe, but I've used these connections for 13 years and have never had an issue so I'll take those odds. It's a non corrosive spray it just stinks, no harm to the tractor
