Best of luck with the application. I know Bala well after many holidays in Corwen. We loved the trip along the lake on the train with what was then small kids. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly Wish you all the best 👍
Good luck with the application. Seems a lot of money involved preparing the planning application. The small railways of North Wales are a great tourist attraction, bringing money into the area. Not everyone can or wants to climb Snowden.
Still this application drags along, the last I heard was that they did not want the line extending into the town as this would cause too many people to go there and this would lead to an increase in the use of toilets and this would cause an increase in the amounts of phosphates into the river. What Welsh Water fails to realise is that most of the phosphates enter the river as run off from the surrounding fields from waste caused by all of the grazing animals, only a very small percent (1%-2%) is down to human waste, which should be treated correctly by Welsh Water. This is starting to sound like an episode of Yes Prime Minister, lets hope some one with a bit of sense can sort this out, will it be nappies for humans and animals.
Good luck with this! I still think it was absolutely ridiculous that it was refused in the first place. I fully appreciate the concerns but rather than an outright refusal a simple "yes with conditions" would've been better. Money could've then be spent on that rather than having to go through this again.
All the very best from Picton, South Island, New Zealand. Have been following this project from its earliest days, I am sure it will succeed this time.
As a retired locomotive engineer from across the pond, I will be encouraging your quest in seeing this noble dream become reality. Good luck!
£350.000 to get that piece of paper. How do we ever get anything done in this country...
Well done, anyway.
Good luck, the town needs it, the railway needs it!
