He got off to a slow start this year, but he’s picked it up as of late
Early part of the year,, he was swinging at a lot more stuff off the plate than usual. It was noticeable, especially compared to last year, where he basically was not going to get a swinging strikeout unless either he had to chase because the ump was calling a Little League strikezone that game or it was a foul tip. He's gotten a lot better both since the birth of his kid and the All Star break.
He always gets off to a slow start. He don’t play seriously till after the all star game

Astros starting pitching after Framber and Verlander still a big concern but if at least one more starter can step up down the stretch it's gonna be hard to knock out Houston, cause the lineup is as good as any team in the league. JP France it's time to step up
