  • Discover a game-changing storage solution for your adventure van! Join me, Steve Adventure Outdoors, as I unveil the process of installing a versatile cargo net on the ceiling. In this video, I share my ingenious method that transformed a simple idea into a practical storage solution without the need for any tools.

    Inside the box, you'll find a 55 inches by 78 inches net, adjustable straps, and hooks with unique features. Watch closely as I guide you step by step through the installation process, utilizing my superior brain to figure out the best technique.
    The brilliance of this cargo net lies in its design - the hooks with a ball on the end, grommet holes, and, most importantly, the nylon straps with buckles. I show you how to run the cord through the grommet hole, securing it with the ball, and tightening it with the ingenious straps. This ensures a secure fit without the hassle of permanent fixtures, allowing you to take it down in just 30 seconds.
    Perfect for your travel essentials, this cargo net provides extra storage without interfering with your space. I even tested it with Adventure Wifey's pillows, showcasing its versatility.
    If you're a van enthusiast looking to elevate your storage game, stay tuned! I'll also check if this net is available on Amazon and drop a link for your convenience.

    Cool idea, and a great price. My only thing would be the contents up in the netting hanging too low and blocking my view through the rear windows using the rearview mirror. That 78" length would be way too long for my shortbed F150. I suppose it could be folded and adjusted to fit using those bungee/hook attachments.

    That’s pretty sweet. I like the way the cords connect on the hooks too.

    This is a super cool idea. I'm surprised you didn't get more comments off it.
    But I did have some ... questions and comments. First, you could probably strengthen this by weaving additional cordage into the netting. That way you could be more sure about it lasting longer. Plus, You might want to anyway because the weight its pulling on stuff hanging on it from the ceiling is different from the weight allowance used when its just holding stuff still by laying it out over the top of a load.
    I'm wondering also if someone has input on how much weight these can hold when its over the top of a load, not fully supporting the load weight but just keeping stuff from sliding around? Hope someone has input. Thanks.

      Thanks Jeff. I think what you saw (without watching the video again) was my kayak/boat shoes. I generally use my bare fists.

    I just received this cargo net from the link above, but it did not come with the hooks and bungees with balls. Were those a separate purchase, or did they come with it. I wrote to the seller. If they were suppose to come with it, I hope he sends them soon.

      I honestly don’t remember. If they were included, I feel sure I would have mentioned so. I’ve bought them separately as well so I can’t recall.

      @@myadventureoutdoors In your video you sure made it sound like they came with the net. I am sure I will hear from the seller in the next day or so. Thanks.
      BTW I used some 1/4 20 'Jack Nuts' to put 1/4 machine I bolts into 4 places on each side for net attachment points.

      Mine didn't come with the hooks and stuff to anchor in walls also. And I've not found anyone that mentioned where to get those or what to look for.

    Do you have any plans to finish the ceiling and the walls of the van? I mean are you going to put up a wood finish or some other type of finish to them?

    • @myadventureoutdoors
      @myadventureoutdoors  6 років тому

      No plans for the walls right now. I will probably cover the ceiling in Reflectix.
