  • Want to grow easy vegetables in pots or containers? Here are 8 of the EASIEST vegetables to grow in pots in Melbourne, Australia.
Container Gardening is the best because anyone can do it. Doesn't matter if you're in a rental, a small home, just have a balcony garden, have no garden at all, if you've got a pot and some good soil, you can grow great veggies.
I also share with you my 3 top tips for easy container gardening - the biggest mistakes I made when I started growing vegetables in pots.
If you don't have enough sunlight to grow vegetables in pots outside, you can pick up some grow lights from places like Gathera (if you decide to buy some, you can get a discount by using the code CHRISTIESUA-cam at check out: gathera.com/collections/grow-...
In this video I also mention a video where I talk about how to find free pots, that video is here:

New subscriber from Zone 9b, Lodi, California. I have been growing in containers; however your video has inspired me to continue on my porch. I make my own compost in bins with kitchen scraps, shredded paper and garden debris. Thank you, Christie.

Love hearing this, thanks Jodie! We’re in Melbourne, Australia, so the weathers starting to warm up as we prepare for a summer of growing. Nothing compares to home made compost! It’s the best! Good luck ☺️

Your not just a great gardener , you make a great video as well . Thanks for all the tips. 👍👍 Haha , we had a Black Lab that always beat us to the strawberry patch

Aww thanks Rob! But that’s not encouraging about the lab, I was hoping that was a one off and she’d leave them alone 😂 she’s very good at being sneaky when I’m not watching so if she gets a taste for strawberries, there’ll be no stopping her!

Ha, Ruby! Great to see such healthy specimens in pots. Do you have cabbage moth issues with your kale?

I did at the start of winter but they all disappeared over winter. I’ve just started to see them again though, if I were planting seeds or seedlings at the moment it would definitely be worth protecting them with a net! I’ve got a whole video about cabbage white butterflies in my “vegetable gardening vlog” playlist if it helps ☺️
