So I found this channel about a month ago. It's the most informative of Catholic theology, by far. I've since subscribed & have listened to at least 3 every day. This particular video has got to be among my top 3 of all I've listened to. Godspeed.
thanks JE. what i do is listen to podcasts whenever i can (at work, when cooking, when driving, etc). i'm not at liberty to view a webpage but i am able to listen to audio from my mobile device. in 2011, i had installed an app called iCatholicRadio. i don't know why i did. i was an altar boy as a kid but had fallen out of the faith. there was nothing going on in my life & was bored. i listened in on a couple guys who were talking about a Culture of Death. i was fascinated. i heard the effects on the world what the Bolsheviks had done. i was immediately hooked. i was very poorly catechized, a biblical illiterate, & was ignorant of papal encyclicals. soon after, i was hearing Calling All Catholics & Christ is the Answer with Fr John Riccardo every day. i'm now a revert to the True Faith. i now see the reality that we're in a spiritual battle against the ungodly & immoral ways of the world. i try to stay in good grace (with penance & the Eucharist) so that my rosary prayers are more efficacious. i'm involved in Knights of Columbus, 40 days for Life, St Paul Street Evangelization & am halfway to getting a certificate to become a catechist. a younger me would say i've gone crazy but i cannot get enough. i love the Lord. i recently heard a sermon from the podcast Sermons for Everyday Living. i heard yet another wonderful story on a saint & did a little research online. that research had led me to the UA-cam channel Sensus Fidelium. so now i'm here. we pray "Your Kindom come, thy will be done" but if we don't respond to the call, become informed, & share the light with others, how will His plan ever take root?
I’m sincerely grateful for you, Bro Andre, Ryan Grant, and Bellarmine Himself for giving such an in-depth and hard look at the issue of purgatory. If we Catholics think the Holy Bible is sacred and the inspired word of God, then we should be careful with its texts and not just try to make them fit our agenda to win theological arguments. It is refreshing and edifying to see the 1 Corinthians 3 passage handled in a way that tries to honor the actual context of the passage and still demonstrate its impact as to purgatory.
