  • My 20 Week Anatomy Scan| Vlog. Ep. 12!
    My Pregnancy Journey.
Hey Momo’s! Wow. What an exciting week it’s been for baby Luca! We were soooo pumped to go to his anatomy scan and see him! 😍 he’s the absolute most perfect, cutest little guy ever if I do say so myself! Hehehe. 💁🏻‍♀️ the scan went so well. But they did have some concerns relating to my placenta. So I share about that. I also thought I’d share some of the most frequent products I’ve been using during the pregnancy and also some of the books I’m reading! Thanks for hanging with me!

I struggled to breastfeed my oldest for three weeks before we finally got it down! It was 100% worth it even on the hardest days. With my second I expected it to be worse because she was born with craniofacial deformities but she actually latched on and fed with no issues from the start! Every baby is different and you are doing the right thing by preparing now- I so wish I had! So glad for a clean bill of health for you and baby!

I recomend to use a full hydratant treatment for your legs. Try to use an hydrating gel, then a serum after shower, and seal it with an oil. Aloe vera, coconut oil (at least for the body) and rosehip are extremely helpful ingredients :D

Hi Morgan! I've been following you and Paul on you tube a bit and so excited for you guys on your pregnancy! I am glad little Luca is healthy! In my first pregnancy I was anemic too and pretty tired so I understand that one. I am currently pregnant with my second and hoping I don't get anemic. As far as breastfeeding one thing that would be extremely helpful is if you have a lactation consultant check your son out of oral ties ( lip, tongue and cheek) very soon after birth. My son had 4 of them, upper lip tie, 2 upper cheek ties, and an tongue tie. My son went 3 months undiagnosed. Because of the oral ties my son could bearly latch on me or bottle. So breastfeeding was a nightmare for me. But we finally found a really lactation consultant that finally found the oral ties and were able to get the oral tie release surgery. I ended up having to formula feed. I just thought I'd let you know about getting your son check out for oral ties just in case. I'd hate for you to go through an awful breastfeeding experience. Oh I thought one time you stated that you guys live in Kentucky. I'm not sure were. But so do me and my husband and I found a really good lactation consultant in Louisville. Her name is Bonnie Logdson from Bonnie Knows Breast.

No worries girl! I also had a low lying placenta at my 20 week scan. By 28 weeks it was moved out of the way and I was good to go. Just trust in God and everything will be OK. 😊💙

Perhaps try changing the order of the products, put on lotion and the oil over that. That is the usual way dermatologists recommend it because oil is the one that seals in the moisture, the lotion being the one that actually supplies the hydration and moisture on top of it would have a hard time penetrating. I'm not sure what would be the reasoning behind doing it the way your sister said.

I planned a natural birth, I had a Doula, took my mother natural courses and I ended up having a gentle C-section because I held on up until 42 weeks and my son had no intention of coming out, but since it was in my control and handed my labor over to god. It was the most beautiful and spiritual experience I ever had. I had my gospel music playing in the ER singing top of my lungs I will trust in the Lord. I pray you have the most godly and spiritual birth that connects you to our father no matter the outcome you have the birth experience that connects you ♥️♥️♥️♥️. Your son is perfect!

Love your dress! Has a very 60's vibe! Luca is adorable! I can't believe he already has so much personality in his face!
My cousin is having a baby in July (her first!), and I'm trying to decide what to get her. She hasn't made a registry and there's so many items that people have differing opinions on (like pacifiers, carriers, etc). I was wondering if you had any suggestions! Like are there baby items that you think any new Mom would be happy to get?

Hmmm…. I have had several people get me some items from Brixton Phoenix or Lou Lou and Company and I have LOVED everything. I didn’t register for any of those things. But they’re sooo soft and neutral that it’s so sweet. They also have blankets and things like that. So she might really enjoy something from one of those places. 😊💁🏻‍♀️

Gotta love these grandma nicknames 😂 my mom chose nana when my first nephew was born about 14 years ago! My girls followed that pattern as well.
&& morgan im hoping for the best possible outcome for the low placenta, but know that if it comes down to needing a cesarean it seems scary for sure but it will go perfectly fine 💙 both my girls were cesarean (since im a petite momma who was unknowingly growing a 9lb 23in giant girl and her big ole head pinched the cervix so one small section of the cervix didn't go past 8cm when the rest of it was fully 10cm dilated...) Tbh... After the 27 hours of labor(with only ice chips to crunch on) with that complication, plus her vitals started to drop little by little I was READY for that cesarean. 😂 Plus seeing there little faces washes away any of the pain of labor which ever way they come into this world. but i know my complication does not happen to alot of women so definitely don't let it scare ya 😍😀

So fun to see little Luca! He is so precious already! On the topic of itching, I had some intense itching so had to go crazy with oils and everything. It got to the point where I brought it up in an appointment and they had me checked for cholestasis since intense itchiness is the main indicator. All was fine thank God but so glad I got checked! But the itchiness drove me insaaaane 🙃 so I can empathize!
And you’re very wise for doing your research and educating yourself on breastfeeding. I wish I had done that more. It was not what I expected it to be for sure.

So excited to hear that you and baby are so so healthy! I can definitely agree that breastfeeding was much more than I expected but my advice is that it’s hard until it isn’t. Troubleshoot and just spend time being intentional with latch and noticing where baby or you can improve! I wasn’t sure if we would make it past that first month but we’re 9 months going strong thank the Lord! I had supply issues and my son had a tongue tie and upper lip tie that we waited to reverse and I just prayed prayed prayed that my supply would go up and we would have just enough to nourish him. God is good like that!

I had very itchy skin as a result of stress. There’s a name for this type of symptom. I was able to recognize that my body was telling me I was under too much stress when the itching flared and through prayer and not scratching the symptoms subsided.

I have never heard this from anyone but I have myself convinced that stretch marks are a result of nutrition, not genetics. What is a baby made of/built with? What is your skin made of? If you aren’t eating enough of that then the baby wins and your skin looses.

They LOVE scaring us. I haven’t taken my sugar test and the doctor I saw (mine wasn’t in) started talking about baby dying. And it helps them feel comfortable knowing the results which is fine but to bring up baby dying is so bizarre. God’s children go through a lot when it comes to pregnancy. My sister has 6 kids and a testimony for each one. I have 3 kids but this is my first pregnant in Christ, and i can see the major difference. The enemy definitely always looking for who to devour and he hates pregnant women.

In sweden you only do those sugar tests if you have an indication you need it. You dont just do it on every woman. If you have pregnancy diabetes you have other things that indicate that and then if you have that you get the sugar test.

@@ashleyventura3111 in sweden you always meet with a midwife and at the start of a pregnancy you take a little blod from your finger to se what your usuall blodsugar is, you do that to compare to later in the pregnancy to se if you have higher blodsugar. Its later in the pregnancy you can develop diabetes and if you have your normal blodsugar to compare to you can se if you need to take that test you are forced to. Only a small procent of women need to do that.
But if you are a young mother with no health complications, a normal weight and eating habits you are at low risk. Our doctors are good at informing what are risk factors for diabetes and preklampsia etc. So we can tell our midwife if we notice something new, and she canhelpusgetan apointment with a doctor (our helthcare is free during pregnancy and the birth but we usally only meet the doctor a couple of times. Sweden dont have the same system to se a doctor but our midwifes have 6 years education instead.
