@@warpdotdev it wouldn't be as needed, if there was a way to jump from VSCode, to an "associated" terminal. So if I have a terminal, I have 9 repos open in different tabs, and if I'm in a VSCODE repo, if I could just do a shortcut to jump to the relevant tab, that would "tie" together VSCode and terminal. As it is now, it's very laborious to go from VSCode to warp and find the necessary terminal.
This is what will make warp blow up. You gotta market this harder. Vscode users will flip, see if you can create a vscode extension that allows you to create a warp integration.
Being embedded in VS Code is not an integration we support yet, but something we get a lot of requests for and it's on our radar. We will definitely provide updates and announcements if we do start engineering work on this feature. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video! it works but when it opens warp, it creates a new tab in Warp. I already have a tab that I just want to navigate to, navigating+creating a new tab makes it less convenient. is there a way to override it?
How do you go back and forth. I have command-shit-T opening a warp window but then how do you go back to VS? Command-shift-C doesn't take me back to VS.
need this as an Integrated terminal
Currently one of our most requested features! There are some reasons why building it out would be complicated, but definitely at the top of our minds.
yess please!
@@warpdotdevplease make it happen 🙏

Wow, so you never accidentally close tabs? 😉Anyway, Warp is awesome, a real game-changer! Keep up the great work!
The product that you made is amazing.
Thank you!!

Is it possible to use Warp as the embedded terminal in VSCode?
Warp will go to the moon when that’s supported

@@warpdotdev Fantastic! It’s the sole reason I haven’t switched to Warp completely yet.
@warpdotdev Warp looks fantastic but I just don't see myself using it until I can integrate it with VS Code
@@harry2993 same here, the moment it’s out for vscode I’m all in.
How do i make the terminal open up directly in the path of the working directory of the project im working on in VScode??
it will be great if it have option like 'open shortcut on current directory', it will help a lot in case we still cant use it as integrated terminal
Yeah how to open in the same directory ? Right now the hotkey opens it on home directory always.

thanks a ton!
Awesome thank you!
Glad this was helpful.
amazing love the app, but please somebody help me how do I enable Vi Mode ( vi key bindings! [ for the warp terminal not inside VIM])!!!
how do I make the Terminal inside VSCode to become Warp?
Unfortunately, we don't have that feature yet. For now, this is the best workaround!
Can i use it from windows?
and for ubuntu?
Doesnot work on vscode fullscreen mode, neither Active Screen nor Main Screen setting
With one of our most recent updates, you should be able to use the global hotkey window over fullscreen mode now!
Please add Linux binary first
