This update features revamped menu, level select, dialogue system and of course - a brand new boss fight!

I might have went a little bit too far with Meen's difficulty. I nerfed his AI and added a knife to the boss room. Updated the download link.

Oh going from an animaton RPG styled battle to an actual beat em up game? Wonderful!
This demo was quite the challenge, some in part to crazy difficulty spikes like the 2 and 4 bosses and some in part to some controls. It's rather odd having the ability to conserve momentum going east and west for jumping but not north and south; in addition to that, I'm not sure if it's intentional that up and down arrow keys are supposed to trigger the combo for the hadouken type move as sometimes I'd want to move myself up or down before activating the earth attack only to get the projectile attack and get eaten alive by the swarm of bad guys.
Half of the bosses were enjoyable challenges like the first and third, but the second and fourth both felt like RPG battles where you're crossing your fingers that whatever you try doesn't get blocked/dodged for you to get almost immediately pounced. I.M. Meen I beat on my second try, I don't know if I was really lucky or what, but he actually felt like a healthy balance of interaction that I didn't quite feel in the second and fourth (possibly due to some of his attacks allowing the player to react in time like his book slam attack). Maybe those two fights could use some new attacks that are really strong but take a bit of time to rev up in the mix.
Morshu as a way to upgrade the player was interesting, though I'm under the impression had I not struggled with the first level I'd have been stuck grinding a lot on level 2. I think it would be cool if at some point in the game you could buy some new items from him like bombs, rope to grab an enemy and throw them around, and maybe even a sword for a new moveset.
The uppercut attack I feel like could use a little tweaking, while it's slightly stronger than the kick I almost never use it over the kick due to the range of kicking being so useful in more scenarios. Maybe the uppercut could be tweaked to guarantee knocking over big enemies?
Grabbing was hard to use, I could only consistently do it after a dash attack and would only use it when I had enough distance between me and one guy on one side and one or two guys on the other side for me to swing into.
That all being said though, I really like the game and its aesthetic makes me feel right at home in the realm of CDI and YTP in general. I can't wait to see what's in store for later!

how about Ganon and Gwonam as Boss? those are epic.
We need like a hardest difficulty like you will face a secret boss and some requirements to fight the secret boss.
You should add a hotel mario or super mario wacky worlds stage type if possible (if you already did that then i can't think much).

Why can you only play as link? I'd like to see playable Morshu, Hotel Mario, and maybe Hotel Luigi.
There might be more playable CD-I characters in the distant future, probably not what you might expect, though.
