I am have just order one of these after watching this, I think they have a benefit, I am also thinking about ordering a Machineart Moto mudslinger, because of the crop that gets slung up in the wet. Do you have a rear hugger or mudslinger installed? If so are they worth it

I have a Machineart Moto Mudslinger installed (extremely easy to do BTW) and have no regrets in doing so. It provides a significant amount of protection for the rear mono shock and all the associated electronics etc., for the ESA from detritus thrown up in both wet and dry road conditions (tar flung up from the rear wheel goes everywhere, particularly on to the rear suspension and is a nightmare to clean).
Some who have fitted mudslingers have noted that in hot weather and cruising at freeway/motorway speeds for an extended period, a “hot spot” is experienced on the right leg at calf height. I am one of the “some” but it happens so rarely that I would not consider removing or modifying the mudslinger as the benefits of the protection provided, far outweigh this minor (to me) and infrequent issue. I think you will find one a worthwhile purchase.
