Watching you start covering Attack on Titan is exciting as I have just finished the main manga and is reading the "Lost Girls" manga right now. So can't wait for you to cover Annie Leonhart or Sasha Braus as they are some of my favorite characters from the series. Gabi Braun is also a character I hope you will cover as she her arc was something that touched me a lot. So MORE AoT videos please!
Great video Lydi and Antonio! Jean, Connie and Sasha were always so interesting because they were the normal people. Everyone else around them was super powered or had some prophetical destiny. But those three, Jean in particular, were the real backbone of our heroes. Jean brought a human element to the story that would be missing if it was just Eren, Mikasa and Armin. And because he is just a normal guy it makes his accomplishments all the more impressive. He didn’t need superpowers to survive all the ordeals of the story. He was just that damned good.

This video character analysis makes me remember of Hitch's change over the series. I am aware that Hitch is a very minor character, but she too changes; a change thats on a similar trajectory as Jean.

Totally watching this show now. Doing the right thing for selfish/negative reasons is such a unique arc, and a personally relatable one. I consciously chose to do the right thing as often as I can not because it’s simply the right thing, but typically because I don’t want to be a hypocrite. 😂 Preemptive guilt, one could call it. If I know I’m going to regret not doing a thing it becomes easier to make an active decision. Case in point: an old friend of mine was going through some financial difficulties. I figured I’d throw in 25 bucks…and then wrestled with my conscience for half the night. So the next morning I put in another $475. Was that more altruistic or selfish? I genuinely don’t know.
ITS AN INTERESTING STORY ISNT IT?!?! Far more fascinating than just the average heroic archetype. Jean is awesome, absolutely steals the show as it goes on. Hope you enjoy! It’s a great story as a whole too!
Jean is my favorite character, plus he's one of the few characters I think really gets their happy ending. I believe in one of the last frames we see Mikasa, her child and a man that looks much like Jean.

Those are only a handful of things they could’ve done that people have theorized and I have to admit I had more fun with the theories than I did watching any episode past s4 ep21 tbh…

I loved these characters, the music and this show… but, those last episodes would’ve been so good if they had done aoe
