I’m in awe!! This is sooooo beautiful. I’m from South Africa, so the landscape feels familiar, but your “camera eye” on everything is incredible! This is such beautiful storytelling
I grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada and I've always felt like I've been missing a part of myself. My father wasn't in the picture so I was raised by my white mother. Being in a predominantly white community, I also never knew any black people growing up and I felt very uncomfortable with my appearance because the beauty standards were white. I hope one day I'll get to visit Ghana and specifically the village where my dad is from. This video is beautiful, I only hope my return to Africa will be as wonderful
Am originally from Ghana and grew up in Ontario now in Edmonton. You will have a great time when you do go we have similar landscape and beautiful sights and wonderful nature depending where you visit but overall wonderful where-ever you go and experience in Ghana and anywhere in Africa.
You will not be disappointed. Africa is magnificent. The people are wonderful. I've lived my whole life in Southern Africa, except going back to my ancestral roots in the UK for 3 years. A good experience which only made me appreciate living in Africa even more. Do some living in Africa mate.
I feel you, I'm mixed too and lived in a area where besides me there was only 4 other black people and 2 of them where my siblings, in school bullying usually hit the people that stand out and I was bullied like crazy for being darker skinned, my mom was in Zimbabwe trying to collect money to go get me and my siblings back from my dad, I ended up going to her in Zimbabwe and loved it, I felt so at home. Meeting my grandparents was out of this world, I met my grandmother for the first time since I was born. I literally cried like crazy. If you get the chance GO! I learnt so much about my country/culture/history.
I honestly want to cry. This is making me feel so nostalgic and homesick. Which is funny because I've never left Zimbabwe. This just reminds me of how I used to experience this country when I was a kid.
@@TM-ln9he Taura hako, ini i hadn't been home in 5 years but i recently went back for just 2 weeks and believe me, i have never felt such peace and happiness. Kumba kunodiwa guys. That's the gospel i am now preaching. Let's go home here and there guys, money will surely come and go
I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, USA. I am white, English, Scottish and German ancestry. I have wanted to go to Africa for many years now, Zimbabwe specifically on my list in addition to other countries. I truly loved this video and you gave such an inviting presence of the landscape, the people and culture, and the beautiful art, and even yourselves. I appreciate and respect your love for your native land and also your husband. I can tell how excited you are/were to share this with him. The African landscape is like none other, in its pristine state, complimented by the native people of the land. I would love to come as a guest one day!😊
I am born and raised in America but i absolutely love Momma Africa. I live in Tanzania and have been here since 2020. This definitely feels more like my home than America has ever felt.
Its nice to see a happy Zimbabwean among the perenially bitter lot on the internet who makes us feel like its a sin to be proud of your country. I have always been proud of my culture and roots, doing the best I can to portray the positives. Culture is a separate thing from the Economy and Politics. Loving your culture/roots doesn't mean you also love the politics.Culture is who you are, where you come from, your motherland, identity and roots. You cannot wash away your Zimbabweanness. People will always ask you where you are from, and your conscience will give in. Because how long can a man pretend to be what he is not.
What great insights of wisdom. Your words are very wise , we need more people like you ❤❤❤ Thank you I have gained by just reading your positive words, True a community of love love love❤
you could not have said it better fami, i love being zimbo and everything about it,good and bad.i am zimbabwes number 1 fan,i am too proud and obbssessed with being zimabwean
So on point. I am fiercely Zimbabwean and I became like this after I left home. Just seeing people pretending to be other nationalities and the barrage of vitriol in Western media and even my university at the time, opened my eyes to a lot of things. A lot of Africans need emancipation from mental slavery. We will get there.
This was healing on so many levels. I did not realize how much home sick I’ve been after a decade of living abroad. Not only am I now planning a road trip of my own when I finally go back, but whenever my friends and colleagues ask me what Zim is like, your vlog is what I will be showing them. There truly is no place like home. Thank you Mutsa and Dan for sharing your journey with us. 🇿🇼❤
I said the same thing. I did not realise just how homesick I was :(. I shall start to make arrangements for a big road trip. I also want to prioritise visiting other African countries.
🌴☀️I am so filled with emotions, I’ve never been to the continent & as a person of color who’s ancestors were taken from somewhere in Africa, to then be born in the west it is a true gift to see one of the numberless truths demonstrated in this video of how my true home REALLY LOOKS. Thank you for sharing this with me, my heart is full & I needed this☀️🌴
I don't remember ever shedding a tear watching a vlog but this made cry. I will come back when I have composed myself and try to put into words the many emotions and feelings that engulfed and overwhelmed me as I watched this incredible story. Thank you daughter of the soil.

I felt so emotional watching this entire video. As a Zimbabwean who grew up outside of Zimbabwe, I cried after realising how undoubtedly BEAUTIFUL my home country is. From the pottery, the music, the people, and my word, to the breathtaking landscapes. This was brilliantly filmed. You are greatly appreciated for sharing such a masterpiece with us... God bless you!
Your husband is so cool. I like how he blends in with the culture and gets lost within it. He’s one of us. Do more and more videos of you guys around the whole country. New sub here…

I'm from Brazil and I always wanted to travel to African countries, and Zimbabwe is lovely! I hope I have the opportunity to visit this place someday. 💚
What an amazing video! We moved to South Africa from Europe and know quite a lot of Zim people. We just love their authenticity and friendliness. And they always speak about about the food being natural which is often not the case in South Africa. Proud warmhearted people and it is high on my list to visit.

Beautifully shot! Captured the landscape, flora, and 'feel' of southern Africa. I'm Zambian, and spend time in the bush every year. Thanks for enabling me to enjoy my own memories of time out in Zambia's equally epic nature, and to marvel at the wonders just south of the border, on this gloomy day in DC! Cheers!
Man we have it all. Good friendly highly educated and ambitious people. Wonderful landscapes, one of the seven wonders of the world, almost perfect weather to die for, wildlife etc. Only if our people can learn that is better to work together than separate. Foreigners who see our country probably wonder why we leave such an amazing country. Such is life, we all have to eat. Beautiful story telling, you invited every Zimbabwean to fall in love with our country again and others to see how beautiful our Zimbabwe - the house of stones really is. One of the best videos i have seen to date.

You really did a good job on capturing the "Real FEEL" of Zimbabwe which I think a lot of people visiting Zimbabwe could only experience it but couldn't describe yet they carried it for a lifetime after the visit.
