- In this video, I'm talking about the Godox FL150S Flexible LED Light panel. I show what's in the box, and what comes with the kit. I show the functions of this cinema video light, show you how it works, and talk about some of the bi-color light's features. This light is 150 watts and is bi-color as well. Here is the full info for the lux measurements I gathered from this light.

A case is a nice touch and can separate one brand from another. My Godox light came with a case and it has held up longer than I expected it to.
You’re right. That is very true. I think a case just makes that company a little more professional in my opinion.
Looks good. I always like a bag/case with lighting products to make it easy to transport and keep them safe. The short cable is a disappointment.
Do you feel it’s a disappointment when companies don’t include a case?
Yea, the short cable is kind of a bummer. I did place a link to an extension cable in the description if that helps.
@@austinlindsay for smaller items that can fit in my own case or camera bag then I don't expect a case but for larger lights with cables and power packs then I do expect them to supply one, makes for easy/safe storage too when not in use as well as transport.
I like that. That’s a good way to look at it.
Cases should be an optional accessory - less waste for those who don't need them but also really necessary for those that do.
Good point. If you never travel. It does take up unnecessary space.
Can this light be folded in half and then rolled up? I don’t want to damage any part of it, but I need it to fit into a tight storage space
I’m gonna say no. I haven’t (and wouldn’t try myself) so take all this info as being not tested.
You can sort of fold it over (think hanging it over a towel rack) if you needed to for a specific shot, or simple storage, but the moment you crease the fold I feel it would be permanent. Again, I haven’t tried so I can’t be certain, but it seems like it may not damage anything. But, the moment you crease the fold I don’t think you’d be able to ever get the crease out. But, yea personally I’d answer your question with a “no”. Hope that helps.
godox is cool. are these suitable for a group- 2-4 people and how many would be needed?
For video?
yes@@austinlindsay
That’s hard to answer. Will all your subjects be sitting next to one another? Are you only lighting them, or are you planning on lighting the background as well? Do you need rim lighting on the subjects? What camera, ISO, F stop are you wanting to use for filming?
It’s like asking what how many tools you need to fix a car. It depends entirely on what problems you’re trying to solve.
@@austinlindsay sitting close. subjects only.
With the info I know so far. I’d say two would work.
Did you ever succeed to make the Bluetooth work? It never connects to the App...
On my iPhone it works great. I’m using the app called GodoxPhoto. Currently the icon is a black background with an orange X on it.
I heard that the light has restrictions powered by v-lock batteries. Can you confirm this for me? Can the light go below 10% power and full power on v-lock power?
Unfortunately, I don’t own V-mount batteries. But, plugged in on mains power the lowest the light will go is 10% with the dial, and 25% using the remote. My best estimation is that it would be the same when using a battery.
Manufacturer included carry bags all the way!
I hope it becomes a standard thing.
