Ha, c'mon, it was a comedy video. Alpha didn't play with "IGN" -- he played with one of our managers, who was enjoying it at home with his kids. :) Has nothing to do with the reviewer or any footage shown on IGN. He says he didn't even see Alpha giving Booyahs (you can't tell who's booyahing at you, especially when you're not facing them). No drama, he even tweeted at "booyah" at Alpha.

I got this game and I can't explain how "FUN" this game is. In a time when all games are so serious it's so nice to just have a game that makes you smile .

Of course the sequel isn't original, it's a sequel. The point is, if the sequel is an improvement over the original game then it stands to reason that it gets a higher score, IF the original game was reviewed by the same person who reviewed the sequel. If it wasn't, then the criticism doesn't hold water, because if Brendan reviewed the first game then maybe he would've given it a lower score than the person who did review it.
By that logic all you would have to do is make minor upgrades to a games sequal in order to eventually get a 10/10(after 4 or 5 sequels).
Sir Thuswindburn a 10 is simply impossible to achieve so a game can just keep on improving thus your logo falls flat. It will end up like a supertask, simply impossible to reach.

Miningtrav Playz I don't understand why ign never gives an actual good score to games that aren't gta, or zelda. I know that those 2 are ground braking titles, but there were other great games that deserve a higher score, for example; the gravity rush series, and recently, splatoon 2.
omer saar they also give good scores to most call of duty games. Most of them get above a 9 somehow.
Miningtrav Playz 1) They had different reviewers, so different opinions. 2) Expectations in 2017 are different than expectations back when Splatoon 1 came out - that's especially true with sequels.

7.8/10 not enough Booyah's for Alpharad
This game deserved to be a 9.0 at the least. The game has so many weapons to master, different abilities and specials. Online is where it shines, there’s fun modes in ranked that involve strategy and the classic turf mode is always fun. It’s always a different game every time, and has a high replay ability. I never played the first one but when I got Splatoon 2 it quickly became my favorite franchise of Nintendo. I’d rate it a 10/10 honestly. But surely Splatoon 2 deserves at least a 9.0. I can’t wait for Splatoon 3 to be announced someday 😆🤷🏻♂️🦑🐙

It really has vastly improved since launch. The voice chat thing is still an issue, but I think that's just a Nintendo thing. Plus everyone I play with regularly uses discord anyways. So yeah.

I think the game can become a solid 9.0 if it was possible to play 1v1s on one console and play locally
Now Nintendo just needs to fix their voice chat situation and Splatoon can be an even more enjoyable experience
KingLos and the party system. Apparently (I haven't tried), you can't join as a party with a friend, nor can you guarantee you'll be on the same team. Seems a bit wrong.

KingLos I disagree. Splatoon dose not need the voice chat. You can say to your comrades: " booyah! And" this way!" That's actually all I needed, and it was really fun this way.
