SoHyang has the cleanest powerful mixed voice among female vocalist on this planet(in my opinion)!! This lady uaually sings that kind of high pitched song 3~4 times in a row at the church every week!! Thank you for this awesome reaction!!

She’s is ANGEL!
This was a TV contest with Michael Bolton as guest - so all of the contestants did a Bolton hit. The camera was picking up some of the contestants' and Michael's reactions. After this performance (she won, of course), Michael called her a virtuoso, and did an informal concert with her.
She is a Gospel singer from her roots and loves to work that sound and her chorus into her arrangements - which she does herself (together with her musicians), so when you see one of these performances, she did it strictly her way.

The best rendition of the song I have ever heard. What a soulful and powerful voice she has!
This is probably her most ambitious cover to date. She took a slow-paced, emotional pop song and transformed it into an energetic, passionate gospel song! And obviously her vocals are out of this world! If you want to hear yet another side of her voice and style, I’d highly recommend checking out “Arirang Alone,” which is her (extraordinary) rendition of a Korean folk song. And considering she’s also sung rock and rap, there’s even more versatility where that came from! Great reaction!
This is just a sensational performance with amazing stage like Rollercoaster.

Yes, she only has one style.
Her style is to make the song becomes more epic and makes the sings connected to our soul.
Her main vocal teacher was Seth Riggs, who was Michael Jackson’s vocal coach. She is a perfectionist. She was not always this good when she started, but with tons of practice and the determination to be perfect, this is the result. She is the best female vocalist on the planet. Bar none. There are many great vocalists, but she is the best.
She only had two short sessions with Seth Riggs. The rest, as far as anyone knows, she taught herself from listening to Mariah Carey, Celine, Whitney on their albums. She may have had expert tutoring from her father-in-law but we just don't know.

This TV program is s-Korean 'Immortal Songs 2: singing the Legend' and it is the competing type of show and she is the final boss.. She makes really good singers to ordinary and she always wins~

Where did So Hyang get her voice and talent from you ask? So Hyang states flat out that they are gifts straight from God. And that is the truth. 👌🎶💪
This is from Immoral Songs 2 Michael Bolton Special. IM2 is a show for professional singers in Korea, so celebrities going up against each other basically. The show always has a theme this one being MB songs.. The artists all remixed one of MB's songs or covers.
She won this. As for styles she does many and often in the same song.

It's a bit tricky to watch your reactions. Your mic is so much louder than the video you're reacting to, that it's impossible to set the volume. Maybe if you didn't talk during the song? I know that's hard, especially with someone as exciting as Sohyang. Just a suggestion to save our ears.
Yes, before you upload your reaction video load it back into your video editor and make sure that all the audio tracks are of equal amplitude. This is called normalization and it will make your videos so much more professional. And listenable!
So Hyang is amazing. You should listen to her song she wrote and just released called "Stay". So much emotion. I disagree. When Bill Withers sang this, it was slower and more soulful. She's just trying to make it her own without respect to the original artist. She's oversinging this immensely.
