Even though I can't really relate to how this guy speaks or dresses (because I grew up in the countryside not the streets) if you look beyond that he speaks nothing but wisdom. I just read this too. Bro, I just did and will continue. Thomas bro, you say your falling away from God. That means you still Hangin on. So don't lose your grip brother and give control to the enemy. Read James 1:2-8. I quit smoking with this and God is showing me how to create and build endurance in my low gutter feeling spots. Take as a test or a workout session. Bro, it will be tough, but it will get easier while you workout and build endurance and wisdom, being steadfast spiritually and physically. Walk as Jesus would through it. Your flesh will mislead you everytime. Spend time with the Lord daily by yourself. You don't have to do it in front of people or make a grand gesture. God doesn't want that he Loves one on one behind closed doors. Don't get it twisted though Feel free to express God's love. Don't hesitate out of fear. Sometimes, I deal with doubt and I just have to speak his name or lie on my face. Sometimes just rest and listen. It isn't up to us how he speaks to us, but he is all the time. Are we listening. He won't allow your temptation to be more than you can bare. Do everything as if you got a dove or the holy spirit on your shoulder watching, recording all you do. In the midst of your storm say Thank You Jesus cuz even though I don't understand it I will stay strong and greet it head on with a God fearing attitude and know that YOU GOD are with me. You gotta be God fearing. We wouldn't do any of the stuff we do or go back to it like a dog does his vomit if we were God fearing. Bro good luck. Look up The armor of God too in the Bible. Praying for you. God needs us. The world is sick. We gotta spread the cure. It's up to us though. I ain't never met you bro but I love you and just know that YOU will change lives by your example. Also, read 1 Corinthians on Love. This is God's love, Agape and it's what we are supposed to have for our enemies. Praying Keep it 100.
When I said you can change lives by your example. That goes both ways homie. You can be a good example and lead them to God overcoming your obstacles or a bad one leading them astray just like the enemy is trying to do to you now. And you letting him. Tomas Montgomery sometimes you can't say anything to change someone's perspective. You got lead by example. Once they see a change in you and the overwhelming happiness you carry around even when you should be mad at the world or going back to old habits. They'll be like, " hey bro, you see Thomas the other day, homie something is different about him he was happy and his whole countenance has changed. Just know it gone be tough and some may not listen and some may make fun of you or scoff. Christians been go in through this for years. You may have to separate from old friends or fam. I had to cut everybody off. You'll find out real quick who your real homies were. A friend is someone who will die for you and support you and love you no matter what. Surround yourself with other Christians bro and always take one with you. I had to change my number and start really watching who I put in it. We even moved. You can stop calling on temptation, but if you ain't ready you can't keep it from calling you or knocking on your door. You may be thinking well just don't answer the door or yo phone. Temptation is something else bro. Out a sight, out of mind. I heard this once, bro we promised two dates the day we born and the day we die. That's what it show on our tombstone, but there's a dash in the middle. The dash is our process or our legacy, what we leave behind. We r lucky to still be in our process. The people before us may hay made some chains in there process for us to carry, and we prolly made some of our own, but we are the ones that can break em. Only with God though. been a HOGMOB fan for almost 3yrs
By His blessing I was Yanked Outta Lucifer's Oppression that's my YOLO. Straight like that. Satan you have no more power over my life, you are defeated in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Here's my testimony. Real talk bruh. When I was 12 I attempted suicide. I took 90 tylenol PM and went to bed not expecting to wake up and I didn't leave a note for anyone. I woke up around 4 hours later and couldn't feel me legs, I was tingling and numb all over and was ice cold. My finger nails had turned purple and I felt stiff all over. Did I die that night? I'm not totally sure but I didn't see heaven or hell from what I remember. I couldn't stand up or walk, I was severely dehydrated and couldn't eat or drink anything and hold it down. I was deathly sick for roughly 2 weeks. Also keep in mind I was only 12 years old, didn't go to the hospital or any doctors for the overdose and my family didn't even know why I was so sick until I told them 8 years later. I know for a fact that God brought me through that and preserved my life. From the overdose research I've done I have found that not even a quarter of the amount that I took that night would have indefinitely killed me. Then 8 months after that happened I found my father dead from a pill overdose on easter morning 2008, he was a severe pill addict. He was dead for almost a whole day and night when I found him which traumatized me to the point of having PTSD. He was in really bad shape and decomposing when I found him. He was very abusive but I still loved my dad. I was 13, 2 months from turning 14 when it happened. Even worse 3 months later my mother gave me up for adoption because I reminded her to much of my dad. I could never settle down anywhere so I jumped all over the state in group homes, foster homes, mental hospitals, and locked down behavioral facilities. I ended up living a short lived life of crime and did a little over 5 years in prison and 5 years of probation for several counts of felony larceny when I was 17, (I was charged as an adult). I used to steal to support my bad habits, I was strung out on pills, alcohol, and pot. I grew up in the slums and ran with a very destructive group of gang members. Now I am a new man in Christ Jesus and wouldn't go back to the way things were for anything this world has to offer. I am so grateful that Jesus saw fit to give me another day of life and many more after that. I'm now 26 with a wife and kids and am blessed to have a beautiful family of my own. Sadly I didn't sincerely come to Christ until a few years ago but I can see his fingerprints all over my life. I have a clean bill of health and give all of the credit to God in whom my healing comes from. So long story short I'm bragging on God for being so, mighty yet so merciful all at once. Now when it comes to the things of God I'll rep him and all he stands for until I take my last breath with all my strength or until Jesus returns, whatever comes first. Praise God. He is just a man, careful not to idolize. Props to my brother's work, however. Music is a medium upon which can carry the word, which can slay demons outright, a vehicle of power the blind see as ridiculous because they are slaves to greed and lust and are ignorant to the fact that the pen is mightier than the sword. When Christ comes back, he will not be a sheep all lovy dovy as he was his first visit, no, he will come as a lion, str8 pissed, "wielding the word of god from His mouth like a sword, slaying demons". I have heard that this translation from the original Aramaic to the current dialect and verbiage is the most literal translation among the texts, meaning that the mouth sword he actually wields, actually slaying demons outright, and disallows their followers to be buried and calls the birds in to a great feast upon their flesh.. The WORD of God, which is harnessed via the mouth utilizing carefully depicted holy verbiage which can only be understood by allowing the Holy spirit to possess or guide the inspiration of one's voice. I disagree on the whole Christmas thing with Sevin, but I can see the stance my brother takes on it, he aims for harmony and love an downplays the semantics of it all as it is unimportant vs sharing one's heart with God and your fellow humans, he is not wrong. Hogmob is definitely an amazing ministry and they are "real" and genuine in the faith... Sevin is an amazing artist. I saw him perform last year at the west coast conference... Shout for defending them and you saying you have a heart to reach out to the juggalos... It's nice to hear how a Christ follower knows about groups like them... People of the underground or people overlooked have souls too.
