I did not know how to grid paths, it was driving me crazy! Thank you so much. This is my first time playing planet zoo, as I could never afford a gaming computer. I am so happy!
I'll start off with my constructive criticism: the game music in background is VERY distracting. At least for me. Having said that, thanks SOOO much for this guide. Paths give me the biggest headache. You've earned my subscription. Thanks much!!!
I cannot believe making square grid paths was that simple🙄 and I’ve done all the career challenges gold star. And literally wanted to pull my hair out😂 and it’s that simple my god😂
They have made paths so difficult! Even with your grid advice (which did help) I’m struggling to do a little forecourt area for food and attach it to a separate path 😫
We all came here to find out how to Grid paths😂. Just a question I play on console but with a mouse and keyboard do you maybe know what those controls are, cause I have to switch to controller everytime.
How do you sink the kerb down? If i want to sink something the camera moves and the object comes back up and moves with the camera, mostly with plants and trees
I already have an elevated path on supports and don‘t know how to make a staircase from there. Because holding square and pressing L upwards only works with a path on the ground. In my case i just get a floating piece of path where i can regulate the height instead Planet Zoo really doesn‘t explain anything about such basics.
i’m confused when you elevate the path to become stairs you said hold down square and yours says change slope however mine says change height and there is no way for me to make stairs
When i hold down square to change the path height i dont get stairs or a slope, it just turns the cursor into a circle that moves up and down. It won't let me make stairs?
When using the grid mode for paths if the terrain isn't level it sometimes won't connect. Using the Flatten Terrain setting will sometimes fix that. Or delete your paths and smooth out the terrain first and then try placing the paths again.

How do You adjust path width. Because Ever since game launch every time I try to do a path. It's already default setting at the widest width that a path can get and it will not adjust the size. It's completely frustrating, especially when you don't need a wide path especially The widest there is for your staff let alone their facilities... was hoping they would atleast make a game update and fix this bug issue yet still nothing.
I was having this same issue. I read somewhere that it's a bug issue with the feet measurement specifically. Switch feet to meters and it should fix your issue.

Hi, I’m unsure if you’ve figured this out yet, but for me I have to do the grid and then attach it to other paths or it says obstructed. I don’t know if this will help but it worked for me
@@8bitJosh I have no idea 😂 I just got it last night. I did leave another comment about this saying that changing the measurement in settings back to meters did fix the issue, but I don’t see it here. I didn’t have the chance to watch your vid last night, but I’m back today and I imagine this will be so helpful.
The button mappings are the same, ie Square on PS controller is X on Xbox. So just compare the two controllers and you should be able to figure it out!
hey, i got a question! I accidentally pressed smth i guess, and now when i build for example rocks and press L2 or R2, I pull or pushe rock, indtead of zooming. My whole camera movement is changed and i cant play with it. My cursor is rotating around me instead me rotating around the cursor, please help :(

I was searching everywhere on how to grid paths… I just assumed you couldn’t do it on console. Thankyou very much for this!

I want to figure out if it's possible to put exhibits on a grid and then somehow connect them with path in a nice way and not haphazardly
Yes, the Align to Grid setting will let you do that.
hey, can you tell me how to change between height and slope while building a path on console.
I think I show that, maybe around the 3:00 mark. Unless I'm not understanding your question.
I like my angle snap at 45
How do you sink the kerb down? If i want to sink something the camera moves and the object comes back up and moves with the camera, mostly with plants and trees
You might have Align to Surface setting turned on. Disable that and it shouldn't pop back up to the surface.
@@8bitJosh now it works, thank you so much!😊

You need to place one section of path first then you can make stairs.

Thansk 🎉
Why dont I have the option to turn on square edges it's actually driving me mad 😭😭
Check out 10:43 where I go over grid paths

Sorted it now need to actually place the first piece. Video helped though cheers.
Glad you got it sorted!
When I make elevated paths it says queue setup would be invalid

How do you add 2 paths right next to each other ? When I try it keep attaching to my other path and thank you’ for the video
Click the middle button/touch pad.
How do you stop lagging. I’ve only got 5 habitats and 2000 guests and it’s completely unplayable. It’s a joke. Am I doing something wrong?
The game can get laggy with lots of guests. Try minimizing the amount of guests your zoo can have and see if that helps.
My width is stuck and I can’t fix it for some reason and it’s so frustrating! Can anyone help???

Grid paths always say obstructed to me when I try to place them in the grid, don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😢
Hmm, maybe you're trying to place them too close to water or a habitat barrier?

I've been playing and it's a great game. In my opinion, they should've made it less cartoonie
Except for the people, I think the game is fairly realistic looking, especially the animals.
@8bitJosh Yeah some parts but I would've like to see it with the same art style as Jurassic World Evolution
path width dont work on xbox and framerate can go to photo mode bad
Hopefully they release a patch for the Xbox version!
👏👏👏👏
When I use the path tool the game keeps it at the widest possible option and keeps it that way, do you know what I should do about that?
There is a setting to adjust the width, so should just be able to change it with that.
I’m having the same issue. Once you widen it, the width adjuster doesn’t work anymore.
@@IorvethTheXolo Are you in grid mode by chance? The size of the path can only be changed in regular (non-grid) mode.

You might have just changed the camera mode. Hold square and press L1 to bring up the camera effects menu and change it to Standard Mode.
