I think catalist adds a BUNCH actually. The pads he introduces make the island so energetic and, of course, very dreamy. And then the paddy plucks he makes with sporerow, well they are not the best but it does again make the song feel more like a dream
For me the castle bass is the quietest, I can only hear it on Magical Sanctum, Ethereal Workshop, Seasonal Shanty, and Light Island early in the song. Though I could hear all the monsters on this list except Shugabass at the louder parts of the song so ig I just have good hearing
How to tell someone doesn't listen to the music with headphones lol ALSO, this is why you adjust the sound levels to your liking between the monsters. Shugabass is incredibly audible with headphones. Like bass in other songs.
firstly, Catalyst is VERY audible so I don’t know what you’re talking about there, but also with a game like my singing monsters the songs are very complex, and yes it can be hard to hear certain monsters distinctly at times the song would not be the same without them, taking Sneyzer as an example, it adds accent to Mammot’s sound giving it more rumble and bass to it, sometimes the parts of the song you don’t hear are the parts that make it great, music production is complex and can’t be boiled down into just “you can’t hear this part” especially since the parts that stand out in a song are semi-dependent on your equipment such as your headphones, there are songs that contain frequencies that you can’t really hear but are rather meant to _feel_
I think it’s mostly because they just blend into the background noise where you can hear them in the back of noise but you’re thinking about the main noise

Me being able to hear all of these perfectly fine except plant island pummel and shugabass got me you have a point there, everyone else overpowers him way too much. The others arent quiet they just blend so well with the sound you need to focus harder on them to hear them.
As someone who got into the games and also has done my own Music before (A lot of it is not public though, some might be later on), One of the ways he can make some of the quieter monsters more pronounced and louder is a few things. What I like to do on my game (And I've only really done this with Earth Island and Samctum to be honest. But I'm working on doing this for Shugabush and Plant) is to put the monsters in what I like to call a Concert format. Basically I find online concert layout plans and sometimes orchestral plans and try to arrange my monsters how it's arranged. For example, most vocals are towards the front. Well percussions are more towards the back. Guitars and keyboards are usually to the right and left respectively. So what I did with Earth is that I lowered the volume slightly with almost all the Wubboxes except Rare because I consider him to be a vocalist (I don't have the Werdos yet). I made the Hyehehes (since I have a rare too) a medium volume because with both active, they kinda equal each other. Humbug is closer to the front since I consider him a guitar... Etc. Explaining what I did would take all day. But point taken Is that using the volume feature Makes things much more Equalized. The only thing I wish you could lower the volume on Is the castles. You cannot lower the castle volumes.
The main reason for a lot of these is just having the same melody/beat as a louder monster which drowns them out. Sneyzer is covered by mammott and noggin is covered by t-rox

Uuduk can be easily heard in the quiet part of bone island. You can VERY easily hear flouress on light island. Catalizt is quite loud, idk what you are talking about. Same with tring (that is literally the point of tring) and shugabass (that is also literally the point of bass.) and you did NOT have to do bulbo like that, it is an insturment called a guiro and it was not played that properly.
