Loss is part of a game. To win is an opportunity. Being the GOAT is an honor. And for us, knowing this guy and seeing him play tennis is a great privilege. Thank you always, Roger!,,
This defeat might fuel Fererer even more in grand slams this year. Sometimes losing a battle helps you win the war.....Congrats to Del Potro....Go Fed!!!
Alex Doe Best comment! I couldn’t agree with you more. That’s exactly what I was thinking about. I really hope he’ll play at Roland Garos and win it one more time. It would be magical.
i agree. sometimes you need to step back a little bit. losing can give you a better perspective in terms of where you can improve your game. this loss had to happen some time. he'll come back.
We still love you Roger no matter what happens, You are number One in our hearts, looking forward for your next future tournaments, be blessed 🙏🙏🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭😊❤️❤️❤️
All I can say is that Roger's attitude is a fuckton better than mine, and I'm glad he doesn't have my piss poor attitude to the loss ringing through his brain. Remember, after that absolutely crushing loss at the Us Open 2011, he dominated indoors winning back to back to back titles, including the WTF and a Masters. He is the bounce back king and he deserves a ton of praise for it.
no question. the entire saga, which began with his loss at the AO 08 and yes he won the US open later that year but with him smashing his racquet against Novak in Miami in 09 to winning French and Wimby and making all 4 finals that year. he always seems to rise.
That final was fantastic, the most intense match apart from the grand slams iv ever seen, I’m a massive Federer fan, and somehow he managed to win the 2 nd set, Del Potro hits such a heavy serve and forehand, yes, of course I expected Roger to serve it out at 5-4 40-15 so did he, that’s why he is so deflated right now, to be fair Del Potro looked strong , didn’t miss much and moved well the whole match, good luck to him.Federer is a legend now, nothing can tarnish him, rollon Miami.
Geoffrey Muller yes exactly how i feel about this match it was drama. not a tennis:) i am surprised how he could have hit any point beeing so emotional
I laugh at people who think he just gave this match away, it's not like he wasn't trying in the slightest. This was an awesome match of epic proportions. There could only be one winner. Hats off to both men for giving us a show, it was not easy at all for either man to play under all the pressure. Roger's gonna be just fine! :)
As a Fed fan, it hurts more when he couldn't convert championship points into victory. Still a great match. Congrats to Del Potro for 1st Masters 1000.
It doesnt matter. He is already the goat. He cant win everything. He is human and not a machine. Otherwise he would have made these matchpoints at 5-4 in the third set. We must not forget that he played someone who is 7 years younger. Roger is an awsome athlete.
onyx081 Outplayed? 😂 Outplaying suggests it was an easy match for Delpo which isnt the case. He had to dig deep to win against a not 100% Fed who was missing more than a couple of easy shots and played a dramatic first set. Delpo survived 3 matchpoints. Age does matter at that level. 36 or 29 is a huge difference. I didnt say Fed lost because of his age though. Just mentioned it because Fed still does a great job at his age. No one is probably ever going to play at that level and age anymore.
You couldn't win forever, Roger. 17-1 is still an amazing ratio. Keep up the work, Maestro. Use this as a learning lesson and destroy the rest of the year.
I like he says no excuses. Approach of a truly mature guy that is true to himself and thus able to learn and grow. The way he can handle himself after such a loss and even analyse the situation so profoundly that is something you never see in any other player. Even Nadal is able to say only I played badly and he played well when he looses. Fed like an expert watching the game from the outside tells you what it really was. That shows really great brain and great heart.
It is hard to take in a loss, after it was so close. And the press makes it harder. When will the press realize that even the greatest are humans with emotions after all? One thing of satisfaction we can take from this Final is that Roger gave it away, and Delpo did not take it away from Roger. Which means Roger is Still The GOAT! :))) And like I always mention, the press is in awe, and does not know how to assess such unprecedented greatness!!!!!!! :)))
He has done more in tennis then any player has, at almost 37 and playing this level of tennis is amazing. He didn't play good at all, just ENJOY him, cause he will be hanging it up soon. hats off to both players. He is the goat of tennis.
To me it doesn't only matter if he wins or loses any matches, for me he'll always be the goat and i love his game, his personality and the way he acts in general, his records are only one of many reasons why in my eyes he is the best ever. Love DelPo aswell but Federer will always be my #1 and i was sad to see him lose the way he did. Big congrats to DelPo though, big trophy for him!
First to comment, fed played well delpotro played very well 8 years between these two del potro still young. Fed getting championship points good and it was that drop shot on match point he will review.
He almost never slows down before serving for crucial match points, regroups....he likes playing at a fast pace but taking a deep breath and regrouping doesn't hurt....those 3 match points simply evaporated!
You really can feel and see the disappointment and frustration in him. I have a feeling he is going to go hard in Miami. I feel sorry for his next opponents... lol.
All you silly fedheads need to chill and take a deep breath. Fed had a great tournament and was beaten by the better player. Delpo's gaining more confidence in his 2hbh and his overall movement is much better this year. That's two big tournaments in a row for Delpo so I wouldn't be surprised if see a rematch in Miami semifinals or finals.
Roger put up a good effort to speak to the reporters. You can hear the frustration still. And kind of fidgety with his fingernails. Never seen that kind of demeanor from him. He'll be over this probably before he touches down in Miami.
Char Lize who the fuck care about views, if delpo would have been injury free all this years federer would have at least 5 slams less, keep talking like a toxic fed fan its so funny! 😂
Of course Roger is (and will be) the goat but it’s not that interesting to watch delpo saying “yeah i played better so i won”. You want to watch roger trying to explain why he lost and what he could’ve done better. It has nothing to do with who’s a better player or who gets more views 🙄
diego perez Calm down man...It's even difficult to claim that he would have met him 5 more times in total in GS if he was injury free..And you believe that he could beat Federer all those five times or maybe 5 from six or something like that? That's a joke..Federer leads Delpo 5-2 in GS and let's just don't count the first one(Wimbledon 2007) when Del Potro was very young but it's still 4-2..So calm down and don't make such silly assumptions.
Clearly, not the happiest of bunnies, and strange to hear him so 'flat', but I guess that's frustration (been a bit grumpier most of the tourney, tho?). I wonder if he was mentally as well as physically a bit tired after the changes to the schedule; some gritty matches too and perhaps not *quite* feeling it. But DelPo played well and fought it out, so kudos to him. Hope to see the old Goat back to his best next time.
He knows exactly what happened to his game, and that's why he lost. He is just too modest, as always. Never disrespect an opponent, but it wasn't Delpotro game what lost him the match. He is evading questions like a champ in this press conference.
Niki D. Roger isn't known to be a good loser, he and Serena took until their mid 30 to be gracious in defeat.... Take a look at press conference after @ausopen 2011 and @usopen 2011 against Novak!!!
Del Potro's game was huge part of his loss. Federer became frustrated, so he lost focus. He threw everything at Delpo, who answered him most of the time. The other person was right, he doesn't take a loss very well. Check out the 2009 Australian Open Championship Ceremony for instance.
707ladytee you are stupid if you think his game was a problem it was obvious Federer was making too many errors watch the whole thing again and then come back and stop being ignorant tired sloppy play and nervousness
soumadip patra very easy to say... Did you consider what was going in his mind...definitely No Giving advice to man who has seen lot in his whole career looks like very immature of you... In the whole match, you clearly see roger struggle to have rally... And many times drop shot comes to rescue so I guess he feel drop shot was best and it is difficult to play big rally while you on match point...and even against rock solid mindset delpo very difficult...
I actually completely agree with soumadip on this one. As Roger came to the net, DelPo was already just inside the baseline and could easily move in for a drop. I thought Roger was going to flick one of those short cross-court back hands for the match and he chose to hit a drop (which chipped further than ideal) and left DelPo with an easy passing forehand. Granted it's a split decision, but Federer seemed to shy away from backhands on more than one occasion in this match and that last one cost him.
Fed had a few lucky wins last year (against Kyrios, Berdych and others) by just playing free and aggressive tennis. I guess that strategy only works for so long.
Roger let his frustration get into his head. He argue with umpire and shanked match points that were usually easy put away for him. Hope he learn his lesson, he always wins when he is calm and focused, and he would have here also.
All respect to Roger and his monstrous tennis career. Roger is defintley one of the greatest tennis players of all time (together with Nadal) but when it comes to convert breakpoints, setpoints and matchpoints he is miles away of being super great. I mean Federer has lost 20 tennis matches throughout his tennis career when having matchpoints but not converting them. If his name was other than Roger Federer it would not been a big deal actually, but if your name is Roger Federer (who many consider him as the tennis goat) and losing 20 tennis matches while having matchpoints that is really a big question mark to call him just that goat. It’s really insane to call a player as the tennis goat (greatest of all time) and the guy has lost 20 tennis matches while having matchpoints and in many of those losses in his own serve actually. And I am saying all this despite that I have been a Federer fan in over 15 years but I have to be honest people his matchpoints conversion is a ugly stat.
Ok, so Coric and DelPo showed great form lately. But to me, Roger Federer looked fatigued in his matches against those players. Flustered sometimes. It seemed more mental than physical tiredness. That might help explain his irritability / moodiness when he was convinced, mistakenly, the umpire / linesman got it wrong. In the press conference, i thought, at times, he didnt come across as quite his normal self. Well, about the press officer asking why he was unusually irritated, it was not the first time at IW18, he had answered a question by claiming he doesn't remember (1:44). I'd heard him say that a few times in previous conferences. Of course, it could simply have been a clever way to avoid an awkward question! But then, Roger said (2:05) he and Del Potro complained to the umpire "for different reasons or the same reasons ... in different moments." Maybe i missed something (i'm forgetful 😂) but wasn't Roger's dispute about whether or not the ball was in? And wasn't Del Potro complaining about the noise coming from the crowd between his serves? Very different reasons! Another journalist asks what went wrong in the tiebeaker in the last and asks if it might have been "a bit of tiredness" (2:35). Then a journalist asks (3:25) what are the differences in Del Potro's game since he's been back on tour and, rubbing his (dry?) eyes, looking not unlike a sleepily flustered Stanley of Laurel & Hardy fame, Roger hesitantly utters, "What, err, differences are?" So, a bit forgetful. And a bit slow to register what a journalist had said. I'm not going to dare bring the beard into this! But is it just me or was Roger, mentally, not fully at this tournament and not his normal, cool and sharp minded self? Has he not been getting good sleep?
Press would do well to give some slack to this "Once in your lifetime Greatness!" Press, you all know that we won't see such greatness for another 20 years, or till the end of our careers - definitely not for a long long time.
He is so emotional about this loss. I can hear it in his voice. He is going to come back with a bang and win Miami.. he will beat Del potro in the finals if he shows up.. I have a feeling he wants it that way..
ed ugo Because, despite his tough look during the game, deep down inside he’s a very emotional guy and he’s not very used being in that position. Also, Delpo was playing fantastically well and was giving Roger very little options. In my opinion this was a very good lesson match for Federer. He’ll handle it much better in the future.
Nickey D. Roger is an emotional guy but he is also a very experienced tennis player and use to being under pressure but like everyone, some days you can handle it and some days you cant. All depends on circumstances. I think he was tied (although he won't admit it) as he has been doing a lot of thing with his foundation stuff and now will soon be taking a trip to Africa, plus tennis commitments. Also feeling a little under par can add to tiredness.
Roger as a big fan may i suggest next time you try to avoid feeding Delpo in the middle of the court so much. if possible...and i saw you started applying that at the very end only. every serve return was right in the middle .
Conner Conner For finals it's 600. So Federer dropped 400 points because last year he won the title. After Miami Rafa will drop 600 points and he will gain nothing because he is not playing this year.Federer needs to get into quarters at Miami to remain world no 1.
Delpo gave nothing away. He was untouchable on serve, minimum UEs ... he was on par with USO 2009 performance. Federer was not clutch in the final .. didn't bring his A game so naturally he lost. What is surprising is that powerhouses like Delpo need to play 110% to down an almost 37 yo Federer. GOAT beyond the shadow of a doubt!
He came back on a set down. Had match points. Have you people never been there...it's hard to lose when you come back, but it happens...lots to AVERAGE players.....these great players pull them out more often. I am not happy Fed lost but it was good to see Del Potro to win too...it's good for tennis.....
Roger went for that drop shot on match point. He was going for the win, but simply did not hit a good enough drop shot -- nothing really more than that.
This talk about Federer being a jerk and del Potro being a baby I don't really understand you guys we who are just going through normal everyday hassles get frantic when the line is so long or when someone cuts us driving and U GUYS EXPECT THESE GUYS TO BE CALM IN A MATCH LIKE THAT CMON!!! THAT MATCH WAS INTENSE AND THEY CAN GET EMOTIONAL IF IT HELPS THEM COOL OFF I WAS NOT PLAYING AND I was screaming by heart out at home. Pls guys give them a break. They ve earned it.
Roger looked tired in the match with coric and i think he needs some rest his backhand was exposed during the match with coric and lacked a bit of confidence in the final match Even though he played really fantastic Its really dissappointing to lose After 3 championship points
Yes, I think Roger was simply tired. And he should cut down a bit from his charitable activities for the moment - for the sake of his tennis. And take more time to just rest! :)))
I think Roger played bad and Delpo played better than usual, he was like a wall in that match. Oh well, sometimes the Goat loses and it's okay. I'm very happy for Delpo.
Sir Alexander Roger played absolut great tennis. Give delpo some credit. You always say he played below his level when he has lost. Do you even say wimbledon 2008 was below his level? Lol
When you win just about every time, I guess its a lot easier to be "gracious" in defeat. Everyone loses, even the great Roger Federer! PS: I don't think he'll play the French. If he plays it, goes deep in the draw, then, loses in the semis or finals, it could jeopardize his entire remaining season. He needs the rest and he must respect his body at this stage of his career.
Sorry for Roger to have to answer some questions that do not sound like being thrown from professional journalists. He just should have skipped the press conf with a penalty paid and have gone back to a hotel to play with his kids to get over what happened in the match.
Federer says he didnt know how many matchpoints he got. Total lie. He knows it exactly. I expect that Del Potro will be the first new no.1 on ATP within 1 or 2 years. That guy is solid and professional on the court.
Leon your sped. I love both Delpo and Fed, but check your facts. Fed did in fact save a match point when he was down 7-8 in the 2nd set breaker. Fed was being a jerk, but he really wasn't playing well for the majority of the match, so don't reference this match when you make a stupid statement like that. Get out of here
He was really angry, so angry that didn't want to talk about. Why?. I think that angry Federer is the real Federer, without the usual mask he use. Good for him.
Pablo Briones Because he always has a winning mentality and he hates loosing. True champions have that kind of attitude when they lose. McEnroe said that he didn’t like so much to win as much he was hating to lose!:)
Loss is part of a game. To win is an opportunity. Being the GOAT is an honor. And for us, knowing this guy and seeing him play tennis is a great privilege. Thank you always, Roger!,,
man you have been to 5 straight Master 1000 finals at age 36 - this is more than awesome - congrats GOAT!!!!!
The more our tennis GOAT loses, he becomes more hungry and more focused in winning!
And become the first male player to win all grand slams twice
I love you Alex for boosting my hope up!
i agree. sometimes you need to step back a little bit. losing can give you a better perspective in terms of where you can improve your game. this loss had to happen some time. he'll come back.
We still love you Roger no matter what happens, You are number One in our hearts, looking forward for your next future tournaments, be blessed 🙏🙏🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭😊❤️❤️❤️
this guy 'Roger' is one in a lifetime, so much class.
You clearly didn't watch this final iif you're calling him "so much class". Cut it out.
He is a pig
dude, he was just the oposite of "so much class" in this match, just go watch it!
Ap Store your obviously a gay Nadal or Djokovic fan.
He was frustrated which is human. I have never seen him misbehaving.
All I can say is that Roger's attitude is a fuckton better than mine, and I'm glad he doesn't have my piss poor attitude to the loss ringing through his brain. Remember, after that absolutely crushing loss at the Us Open 2011, he dominated indoors winning back to back to back titles, including the WTF and a Masters. spoonfreakdotcom I agree mate he's very balanced doesn't go over top of loses or wins.I would be pissed lol

I'm so happy for DelPo and yet so sad for Federer. Those match points really hurt watching.
Sharada K to me just the opposit. Was just ready to turn off TV at 5:4/40:15 and then slowly... A turnaround
I can’t even watch the highlights
Delpo,is a whinger
Critics at large 007 No pal. Federer's the whinger.
Sharada K yes devastating. But like Roger says he would have served it out 90% of the time. So one of those inexplicable days.
hi
A man and an athlete of very high class! The cream of the cream!
3:45 He's been back for almost 2 years now! ahahaha....Fed being a savage in this interview in a good way. love it lol
Roger I am so happy and sad. So happy that you are able to manage this but sad because of the loss. :(
Such a graceful opponent! You’re a Champ @Roger Federer even in rare defeat
Amazing for the game and sport
As a Fed fan, it hurts more when he couldn't convert championship points into victory. Still a great match. Congrats to Del Potro for 1st Masters 1000.
It doesnt matter. He is already the goat. He cant win everything. He is human and not a machine. Otherwise he would have made these matchpoints at 5-4 in the third set. We must not forget that he played someone who is 7 years younger. Roger is an awsome athlete.
Age had nothing to do with it. Fed was just outplayed
he got outplayed in the match vs coric but here no...when he was "on" he shew that he has the match in his hands at some point
onyx081 Outplayed? 😂 Outplaying suggests it was an easy match for Delpo which isnt the case. He had to dig deep to win against a not 100% Fed who was missing more than a couple of easy shots and played a dramatic first set. Delpo survived 3 matchpoints. No one is probably ever going to play at that level and age anymore.
you reckon the guy is a genius. He doesnt have to prove himself anymore.
He is an amazing tennis player..but as a human he is shit and a fake pig..even though he always try to hide his arrogance and his pig character
He’s been through much tougher losses over the years. He will get over this in a couple of days.
I don’t remember the last time Federer had a few match points and lost. I’m just to used to him winning since 2017
Alex Zhu against Tommy Haas in Stuttgart.
Ellie Golding oh yeah I forgot
Del Potro is his aquilles.
And Donskoy in Dubai
Feels like Rome 2006. Close match, having match points, not using them and ends up losing.
It is hard to take in a loss, after it was so close. And the press makes it harder. When will the press realize that even the greatest are humans with emotions after all? Only one - Only you - Roger only ❤️👍 Thanks for keep playing , so happy and enjoy watching your game every match,❤️ G.O.A.T🌎

FIRE I agree. In 2009, after Us open final who would have thought that 10 years on Federer would still be at the very top of the game.
so much passion for the game. Tennis will be different when he retires.
Such a gentleman. Great sport!! Federer is awesome
Go Roger!!!!!!
the microphone is binaural?! holy shit, how cool
He almost never slows down before serving for crucial match points, regroups....he likes playing at a fast pace but taking a deep breath and regrouping doesn't hurt....those 3 match points simply evaporated!

When roger losing still gets more views than delpo’s press conference😂 // roger’s still the goat in any circumstance :)
He can have the views. Del Potro has the trophy which is all that matters
onyx081 and roger has the H2H, gs, #1 ranking. All that matters :)
Char Lize who the fuck care about views, if delpo would have been injury free all this years federer would have at least 5 slams less, keep talking like a toxic fed fan its so funny! 😂

Similar to his defeat to Donskoy last year. No doubt Federer will learn lessons from this match, and come back fully energized for Miami

what did he say at 1:04 ?

707ladytee not really, I gift from Fed. He do that sometimes. Show me a tennis player that does take a loss very well?
707ladytee you are stupid if you think his game was a problem it was obvious Federer was making too many errors watch the whole thing again and then come back and stop being ignorant tired sloppy play and nervousness
Michael Walker Wow..... such lies. 2 press conferences after 1400 matches and that's you're proof? Get the hell out of here.
I agree with fed there is nothing to be upset about, ball is round after all he is still number one
Federer should have gone for cross-court backhand winner at 5-4,40-30 in deciding set instead of drop shot to Del Potro's forehand.
soumadip patra very easy to say...
Did you consider what was going in his mind...definitely No
Giving advice to man who has seen lot in his whole career looks like very immature of you...
In the whole match, you clearly see roger struggle to have rally... And many times drop shot comes to rescue so I guess he feel drop shot was best and it is difficult to play big rally while you on match point...and even against rock solid mindset delpo very difficult...

Yeah he's not ripping his backhand like last year. Something's not the same this year!
Reminds me of US Open vs Djokovic, he also had match points...hmm to big pressure from viewers...Roger just stop thinking, just play !! :))
Fed had a few lucky wins last year (against Kyrios, Berdych and others) by just playing free and aggressive tennis. I guess that strategy only works for so long.
lucky?
Roger Federer is a beast.
Roger lost but his interview still has two time more views than Del Potro interview, lol.
Del Potro has the trophy so I'm sure he could care less about views
onyx081 Right Lol smh
Everyone wanted to see what bullshit excuse Federer came up with why he lost
NO ENTIENDO QUE DICE FEDERER ALGUIEN ME LO PUEDE TRADUCIR EN ESPAÑOL POR FAVOR
Interestingly Delpo leads 4-2 head to head against Fed infinals, although he is trailing in overall h2h 8-17.
Comment il a checké la fille au début de la vidéo !
Then a journalist asks (3:25) what are the differences in Del Potro's game since he's been back on tour and, rubbing his (dry?) eyes, looking not unlike a sleepily flustered Stanley of Laurel & Hardy fame, Roger hesitantly utters, "What, err, differences are?"
So, a bit forgetful. And a bit slow to register what a journalist had said. I'm not going to dare bring the beard into this!
But is it just me or was Roger, mentally, not fully at this tournament and not his normal, cool and sharp minded self? Has he not been getting good sleep?
Please take more time to sleep, Roger! We want you to win! :)
I have a feeling he wants it that way..
why did federer fail under pressure in the third set while delpo played his best under pressure?
ed ugo Because, despite his tough look during the game, deep down inside he’s a very emotional guy and he’s not very used being in that position.
I must say, the beard on Federer looks great!
Irfaan Shawh ???
@jerry jones... Yes that is my name, something wrong with it? :/
Federer defeated Nadal on Clay only twice but Nadal defeated Federer on Hardcourt ten times. Huge difference.
Roger as a big fan may i suggest next time you try to avoid feeding Delpo in the middle of the court so much. if possible...and i saw you started applying that at the very end only. every serve return was right in the middle .
Top class
Can i know why federer ranking points is dropping? Cuz i thought finalist will get 500 points right?
Nicholas Poh he had to defend 1000 from last year, if it’s 500 for finals he loses 500 because he had to defeat the 1000
Conner Conner For finals it's 600. So Federer dropped 400 points because last year he won the title. After Miami Rafa will drop 600 points and he will gain nothing because he is not playing this year.Federer needs to get into quarters at Miami to remain world no 1.
Rahul pandey i know it was 600 but for he said 500 so I just used his number to not create confusion
I think it would have hurt Del Potro more if he lost. Even as a Federer fan, I'm glad he got to win his first Masters.
Imagine the effect on Delpo's season had he lost this match. It would have crushed him. Props to him on his first (seriously?) Masters 1000 title.
GOAT - Grandpa Of All Tennis
GREATEST OF ALL TIME
LOL
lol
Char Lize RAPHAEL NADAL
djokovic owns nadal
CANNOT WATCH A FEDERER MATCH AGAIN AFTER THAT
Del petro is dangerous.Hes hitting the ball well from both wings
This Guy is full of it. He's been found out. I am glad that he got beaten, great for the game.
Some journalists in the press rooms ask really stupid questions, not discounting the good ones but a lot of the time I am like... "really?!"
I know, right? Now consider for a moment that they actually get PAID for asking all that drivel...
Peter K exactly...some of these people are supposed to be professional journalists?? Ugh...
Roger served for the championship in the US Open in 2009 against Delpo and ended up loosing...the same happend here.....
Painful loss but Fed will get over it.
Sad federer didnt won but im sure he will learns from this and will have more focus and is more able to fight in another tournament
keep fighting to the last point Roger !!!! And finish the last point btw :)))) hahaha
SEE YOU in final of Miami 2018 ;)
5:02 to 6:32 Life lesson people, not just for sports!!!
A little disappointed at Federer hit Del Potro at the net.. He could have hit the ball anywhere . I guess if you can't beat him, just hit him. lol
What the hell. Can't hear what Roger says.
The cracks were there against Borna Coric in the semi-final..
somehow he's not comfortable against Delpo
Roger looked tired in the match with coric and i think he needs some rest his backhand was exposed during the match with coric and lacked a bit of confidence in the final match
Even though he played really fantastic
Its really dissappointing to lose
After 3 championship points
Yes, I think Roger was simply tired. And he should cut down a bit from his charitable activities for the moment - for the sake of his tennis. And take more time to just rest! :)))
Cloud StrifeSF yes
I think Roger played bad and Delpo played better than usual, he was like a wall in that match. Oh well, sometimes the Goat loses and it's okay. I'm very happy for Delpo.
federer is still no.1 congrats to del potro
4 Match Points!
ROGER CHOKED
T Bergs No. Del Potro did not allow Roger to hit any winners. That's how the whole match went. Delpo played a perfect match TBH.
No. He played well, and Roger was way under his average level.
Sir Alexander Roger played absolut great tennis.
Give delpo some credit.
You always say he played below his level when he has lost.
Do you even say wimbledon 2008 was below his level? Lol
How in hell would you compare Wimbledon 2008 and this one, come on.
¿Did you watch the match?
Praveen K Roger was up 5-4 in the 3rd, 40-15 , 2 match points. He should've won.
U can see how pissed Roger is in this interview.. reminds me of Kobe off a loss 😉
🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷💪😉
Del Potro = Federer's Kryptonite :D
So been back for 2 years and the first time he won a masters. No girlfriend or kids. Berdych is going better
lol
We might have another rematch with Del Potro vs Federer at the Miami Open. Time for revenge, Federer.
Federer says he didnt know how many matchpoints he got. Total lie. He knows it exactly. I expect that Del Potro will be the first new no.1 on ATP within 1 or 2 years. That guy is solid and professional on the court.
Very possible, if Delpo stays healthy he'll be number one for sure at some point.
when i am upset like he was in that match i forget things as well! he was beyond upset!!! so no he is not lying!!
Yada, yada, yada.
Next Gen... Hope u finaly understand how to beat a 36 year old guy...
Leon Saving match points?
Jaime Sión why? Saving match points are not part of the game? Do u play tennis? Or do u never lift a match point? Delpo lifted up 3... Roger none
maccajoe when u have no arguments... U need to insult. Period
I love angry Federer!
María José Córdova Me too. I hate robots.
he looks tired. sometimes i wish he'd take a step back from all the endorsements, promotions, charity, etc so he can rest.
Must be horrible to face the press after a match like that ... I guess he just wants to slink off and lick his wounds
those matchpoints really hurt.
😒😒😒
very people lose with such grace
