Love that you're making videos about less-heralded greats like Kaoru Mori. Don't worry about popularity. I, as well as many other people, would love to see more videos like this. These creators deserve more attention.
Yep thank you. I will always try to mix up popular and niche works. I like way too many series and wanna talk about them all. Im talking about popular ones more atm to get an initial audience. Thanks a lot for watching.
Reading Otoyomegatari is a unique and fascinating experience, I have never seen a manga about central Asia as a whole, especially during the 19th century. I sure do hope this manga get's much more publicity soon.
Otoyomegatari (A Bride's Tale) Felt like peeking into a world I'd never experienced before and really understanding their way of thinking. Its beautiful and rich. Love it. All Hail Kaoru Mori. One of my favourite manga ever. Now going to get into Emma
Otoyomegatari is just masterful. I can't wait to make more mangaka spotlight videos. Hope you stay around in the channel for more content. And hope you enjoy Emma.
You made me interested in Shirley and Otoyomegatari. They look like works that I would love. Great video IMO and please keep on doing videos like these even if they might not do that well in terms of popularity.
Sorry I missed this comment. Yeah i like adding subtitles just in case someone's finding my accent tough to follow. I'll make a new mangaka spotlight video this month ;)
I am Central Asian (Uzbek) ancestry, and Otoyomegatari really provides me a chance to reconnect to the region (I grew up mostly in Europe, I missed that feeling). The tragic thing is Russian imperialism has ruined Central Asia a lot.
@@PeakFictionWithAms yes, I was just thinking of how Kaoru Mori has such amazing stories and I googled her and this video came up. It was really nice to see someone else who appreciates her art and the depth of emotion that she puts into her characters. I am going to need to finish buying Bride’s Story now. 🥰
@@PeakFictionWithAms By far its been a great read and i love how so much research went into the depiction of central asia , its culture and diversity while highlighting the different brides in the 19th century...one can see the dedication
I read otoyomgatari almost 3 years back when l was in highschool preparing for entrance exams .l agree art is absolutely gorgeous..l need to catch up....

Yep. Once it gets a good anime adaptation by a great studio, it'll be pretty big I feel. But it will be hard to replicate the art in the manga.
