It's weird, but I actually kind of love when Suga gets called RM because then I get to explain how there are actual 3 really great rappers in this group :D Rap Monster or RM (or Namjoon) is usually the first member anyone learns because of his distinct looks and flawless English with perfect American accent. He was the most talented from the youngest age, but now all three are kind of on par just with their own different styles. RM has the most varied types of flows and is a very clever lyrisist. Suga is more straightforward and blunt and is very, very fast...or speak rapping. They all have some speed, but I would argue that Suga is the fastest. Jhope is the third rapper. Suga and RM were both underground rappers before BTS, but Jhope actually didn't start as a rapper. He started as a street dancer and was in an underground dance team. Now he leads the team in learning choreo and is still recognized by the other members as the best dancer. When he joined the company though it was as a dancer and he was going to become a vocalist in the group but switched (with V actually) to be a rapper. He basically had to then learn to rap and how to write verses. There used to be an obvious gap in skill level but he improved crazy freaky fast and also developed his own, unique style. personally i think part of it is because he's from a part of the country where the accent is very different so his flow just developed to sound diefferent plus he's like the ultimate hype man who can also hold his own
