Part two is always appreciated, but I truly appreciate the information on how to better our art.

Very useful advice. Yes, Part 2 would be great. I am still a beginner and practice on scraps, it definitely helps to practice and improve your skills. Burnishing was a nightmare for me, thanks to a heap of scrap (bought from experienced leather workers) I am proud of my burnishing and improving of my skills that cost me cheap. Thank you for a great channel.

The third point was great. I think most will not let that sink in, but its great to hear it talked about. Too many starting off are under the impression hand made means big money. Few people have the skills starting off and even some who have been at it for years, to get those big prices. The kid's cup was a great analogy, and very true .Practice is important. Developing skills is important. Knowing what you are good at and not good at is too. Being real about all that, means when you go to sell and price right, it won't discourage crafters from continuing. Nothing more frustrating to someone than making something no one is willing to buy. It's a motivation killer.

Yes! Deliver part 2! This was a great video by itself, but a sequel would be great.

Best one I've found so far is making state/country map keychains with scraps, costs cents and takes seconds to make(with die cut ofc)

The leather bracelets and key holders are great ideas! I've seen a seller having pen capsules and corner bookmarks in their Sale section and I've just started leatherworking and could easily make those. The items are always useful for book lovers and the pricing was profitable.

I would love to see more ideas for scraps. These were great ideas and the tap off is perfect. I think I will make a tap off library... like a stitch book for leather workers. Great stuff Joe. I'm lovin your channel.

Tried your site, you are out of needles and don't usually carry thread. To me it seems like a good idea to put a matching harness makers kit together. Trying to figure out what needle goes with what awl blade and thread is a chore and everybody stocks one part but not the other. Since you are out of stock, anyhow. (Pretty amazing that you can buy a pack of 25 needles direct for less than the art supply gets for one...and thread is like forget it.)

Hello Joe! Recently, I have been using some of my smaller scraps to make leather rings. Not quite at the stage to sell them yet, but will hopefully get there down the road.

That last part on practice took a minute to sink in but it's actually gold. I've been thinking a lot about refining my deco cuts. I've got a whole bunch of tiny scraps that I probably could just throw away. Why not practice decorative cuts on those?! Great advice!!!

If you could commit to running your knife just 10 minutes each day with intentional deco cut practice, you'd be amazed at the difference it will make.

I'm just starting out and got a big bag of scraps. I've heard on working on the fundamentals first, but I do wonder, with how big some of my scraps are, what can I make with them? At least something to build a noob's confidence level with lol.
