Thanks for the demo Pye. Love it very much. There is not too many portraits done with the projector. Is this projector can be used only by itself to get the full effect of it or it can be used by adding two or more lights? Can we have more demo with the projector light like you did? I like to see the potential of the projector used by the photographer. Thanks Alain from Montreal, Canada
That was fantastic Pye, I loved it. I have a home made snoot for my speedlights , I will have to try that. One gear question, how to you join the v-flats together to hinge like that. (I'm guessing it is painted poly styrene sheet ? ) Some sort of tape ?
Thank you Pye`, I always look forward with you weekly updates. But I wonder, have you ever use Light Meter while doing studio work or use it in General at all? I have V Flat but I had been eyeing Lindsey Adler Electrical Snoot.
Enjoyed this and now my brain is going lol. I currently use neewer brand flashes. I’m having a little bit of difficulty finding light modifiers like snoots for them. Is there a such thing as universal modifiers?
I'm just a random nobody, but modifier mounting options will depend on model. There are mount standards to attach modifiers, such as Bowens and Balcar. I know some Neewer flashes have a built-in Bowens mount, so, for those, many (but not all, as some may not fit with the bulb design) Bowens modifiers will go right on. As for flashes without such integration, there are adapter brackets for others which provide the standard mount type of your choice ... and then you just use modifiers that go with that standard. Of course, I'm new to this, so I may have a giant hole in my information, but that's my understanding so far.
If you're looking to connect modifiers directly to Neewer flashes, your best bet would be to get Neewer to Bowens adapter rings or something similar to the Godox S2 bracket for speedlights. Bowens mount is pretty universal so it's in the interest of light manufacturers to create adapters if their native attachment is different.
Happy New Year, Adorama. We like Pye, and all of the other contributors to Adorama TV. Thank you all for this quality content.
Okay, now I'm interested in that handmade V-Flat.

Another fine video. Alas, I’m not blessed with that high ceiling. Still, it’s a great setup, worth exploring.

Use some creativity you can have a multitude of Possibilities. Clamps with bowens mount and brolly placers will bring you places.
