Uncle John in Saigon Explosion

My Uncle John R Crumpton was a Captain in the Navy. We are recording his stories for posterity and interest. This one starts with a car bomb that blew up the building he was staying in Saigon. He led a lot if people to safety and helped rescue a man trapped in the rubble.
Then my brother is asking about some of his jobs in the Navy and how he worked his way up thru the ranks.
