3 weeks ago, I bought a fully loaded Metallic Ruby Red, Titanium, 2.0 eco-boost, 4WD w/ black leather interior. 53k as of now. I've already taken my first road trip to CT to chase waterfalls. I'm freakin' loving it.
I have a 2017 Escape SE with the 1.5 liter four cylinder. I bought it new in late 2016 and it now has 69K Miles. I love it - perfect for squirting around NYC and Long Island traffic. I didn’t need the 245 hp motor because there’s nowhere around here where the roads are open enough and in good enough shape to justify the extra cost. Overall, a great car.
Just bought the 2017 SE with the 2.0 and AWD. I'm getting 0-60 times in the six second range. It's a pretty damn quick vehicle with the 2.0. Thirsty too.
zip89105 so is SE the equivalent of the SEL on the edge? or does the escape have an SEL model as well i know older ones did. but still i feel like thag shoukd be standard frok SE and uo
It only got that poor 1/4 mile time because of all the wheel spin they were getting at take off. Looks like thier test track was slick as heck. Other testers have gotten a 0-60 mph of 7.0 to 7.2 secs with FWD and a little quicker with AWD. Should be getting a 1/4 mile speed of around 92 mph or so.
As with the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport review and the Escape, they keep putting regular gas in them. The 2 liter is rated at 245 HP with premium fuel. You lose about 9 HP dropping down to 87 octane.
Interesting how tests turn out. While the MotorWeek 0-60mph was slower than other tests I've read, the braking was much shorter than the other tests, and a 107ft average for a 60-0mph stopping distance is excellent! I might be driving one of these before the month is over.
this was FWD model, so 60 was hit by just 7.6s that too because the TCS of Ford does allow drag strip runs, but change the stock tires and it will hit 60 in 6.8-7.0 s
The FWD probably explains the braking distance & 0-60mph. Did u notice smoke from the tailpipe? It was either a cold day or that test vehicle is driven hard.
above average 3.5 stars, reliability,,, 5 stars on all accounts except roll over 4 stars which is par for SUV's most only get 3 stars on rollovers. But Escape is on a Focus platform so the reason for 4 stars that cat. at least 2018 models.
I got the wife a 15 SE 2.0 4WD, I like it but I wouldn't buy it again. Lack of locking 4WD, poor automatic, and intrusive stability control. Give me a manual, and a real switch for the TC/stability, then I would look at upgrading, otherwise this is the last escape for me.
I don't get why the American car companies ever update their product. Their fan base is so u informed about the competition the they buy Ford, GM, or Dodge just based on whichever union there uncle belongs too. As John said they could of kept it the same and every hillbilly would line up to buy this because it's a Ford
never* products* uninformed* that* their* to* could have* I apologize if you aren't a native English speaker, but it's kind of ironic that you call Americans uninformed.
2:59.........."And some aggressive pulling to the side on initial braking keeps the results from being perfect." Bet there would have been NO aggressive pulling to the side on initial braking had this road test been of a CR-V, RAV4, or CX-5 (ya know, JAPANESE CUV's/SUV's)!!!!!!!!! Remind me again what Ford stands for.............oh, yeah, Fix Or Repair Daily!!!!!!!

not bad,,, keep it up ford
I enjoy mine Titanium in White!
One of the best compact suvs from it’s time 😊
0:35 YOU JUST GOT RICKROLLED!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
why did they omit the hands free lift gate from being standard ??? the escape was the first with it
To keep the price down. It's standard on the Titanium & optional on the SE. It is not available on the S model.
zip89105 so is SE the equivalent of the SEL on the edge? or does the escape have an SEL model as well i know older ones did. but still i feel like thag shoukd be standard frok SE and uo
Sorry, I don't know the equivalent to the Edge.
Wow I take it those were all season tires on that 0-60?
If a car with an 85mph 1/4 trap speed is "too much engine" for some of your crew, you might need to replace them.

The quarter mile shows where the Escapes power is... down low so take offs from the lights should be fun in the 2 liter turbo

My grandmother loves her new 2017 Escape titanium awd with ecoboost

Did they just soft rickroll us with that music?

Wonder how it does on the IIHS small overlap
Acceptable!

I test drove one very nice car so much fun to drive it’s definitely a quick little car so much fun lol
Put some better tires on it and I'm sure it'll do a lot better 0-60 and quarter mile!
you should see how cheaply made the parts and connections are under the hood, not for me

KUGA
It only took me one FORD in my lifetime to sour me forever. NO MORE!
The old escape is better
Called the Escape so you can be sure when it catches fire, you have a chance....

MRT Exactly. Why perpetuate a stereotype that isn't even true?
They just work.
I had a 2007... IT SUCKED ...... very cheap looking
Only thing I don't like is the annoying noises the car makes when you get in.

Landyachtfan79: When all you know about cars amount to clichés, please don't post comments.
Most Americans don't like the styling of the Japanese SUVs. Fords are more luxurious and 90 percent of the buyers are women.
I think it's ugly. There are much more compact SUVs out there.
