- For Season 642 of the Ukulele, Pacific Northwest & PNW-ish weather.
It's been a beautiful sunny day here at Roma Street Parkland, gathering with Brisbane Wisdom Course graduates. Thought I'd squeeze in a quickie song on the Tiny Uke (Kala Pocket Uke), reading off the Tiny iPad, while there's still a bit of warmth and daylight.

I really like the fountain and the framing.
That song is really a sad one for Jame Taylor.
I adjusted a few times to get the fountain in the right spot behind me. I love these public place videos where you can see all these people enjoying the park behind me.
It sounds as though you have gone micro-miniaturised! Lovely backdrop and a great song, of course.
Thanks, Val. The Pocket Uke in her case fits in a small backpack, easy to carry, along with picnic food and towel to sit on, etc, from a car parked at the far side of this big city park. Great on airplanes too!
Lovely version, Wendy! I need to try tuning my lil uke up some steps to see how it feels. I think my voice might do a little better up there sometimes too! It could be magic?!
Thanks, Chris! Yeah, it's good to have a uke tuned in a different key - gives additional vocal options.
Nice choice Wendy!
What was that bird who wandered by at the start of your video?
2:06 for the bird.
@@kensmith5694I think Jim is referring to the bird at 0:26. I spot one starting at 0:19, one at 0:26, and the one Ken spotted starts at 2:01.
Those are ibis, which everyone here refers to as "bin chickens" - bin being Aussie for garbage can - they will eat your food if you don't keep an eye on it.
Two days after I arrived here out of covid quarantine, a friend met me at GOMA, the Gallery of Modern Art. While I waited outside for her, I was amazed to see these guys wandering all over the museum grounds. They're like the pigeons of Australia (though we have pigeons too - they are nicer than American pigeons). People find the ibis annoying and shoo them away. I find all the birds here endlessly fascinating.
@@UkeCan1 Is an ibis an Apple version of a bird? Curious minds want to know.
@@kensmith5694 You mean an iBis? 😆
@@UkeCan1 Yes, that is better iBis is an Apple bird. An iGuana is an Apple lizard etc.
