    Hi Samuel!! The Model T is STUNNING...must be a ball to drive. I've a friend who owns a '23 Depot Hack, we used to go out for ice 🍦 cream b4 he moved out to the country 200 miles away...now I don't like ice cream as much. He belongs to the MTFCI. (Model T Ford Club International)
    Here in Michigan, we have The Henry Ford, a museum and village, where in the summer you can go for Model T rides around the village! They have 16 'T's all in good sorts AND they sell frozen custards...what a treat!
    Good Video...keepum coming. ✌😁

    Wish they were still roadworthy so that I could drive em around

      What makes them not roadworthy?

      Max speed of around 50 mph, likely bad fuel milage, can't be driven in rain iirc, and not much power. Moreover, doing an engine swap on a late gen model T... Ooh, that'd be fun.

      I’d say your best bet is to buy one in America and ship it over

    The Model A that replaced the Model T didn't sell well in Europe.

    • @samuelbygrave
      @samuelbygrave  4 роки тому +1

      I agree they didnt sell as well as the model T however from what ive seen there is still alot of them about.

      @@samuelbygrave Almost 5 million were made but few were sold new outside of Canada and the U.S. because of high taxes on its large displacement engine. Also, it was a bigger and longer car which made it less appealing in Europe where there is more congestion. As a result the Model Y was developed for Europe where it was first sold in 1932 but not in North America. The Model A was one of the first vintage cars collected in the 1950s in the U.S. and are somewhat popular in Europe now.

      SpockvsMcCoy I know multiple people round me that own model As they built them in England. Every model T we own has been built in Manchester England

      @@samuelbygrave Your Model T has left hand drive...did the British drive differently then?

    • @samuelbygrave
      @samuelbygrave  4 роки тому

      SpockvsMcCoy yes, that’s when there was no law to determine how vehicles should be built, the 1919 model T and the four door are both left hand drive but are both British. The trucks we have both feature the trademarked “Manchester cab” compared to the American panel cabs

      The steering wheel? Hmm, yes it's a UK car right? "Metropolitan police"?
      Did they drive on the different side of the road in those days?
      Also, random, but was this video taken on a really long straight road near Harrogate? I recognize it 🤔
