muhammad zahid and shoaib was the fastest due to injurty zahid was no longer available but akhtar in 1999 was bowling 97 mph even darren admits his yorker which batsman blocked would go for 4 runs
A very underrated bowler. Could bowl 90+ mph and had the best inswinging Yorker other than Waqar. Had he stayed fit im sure he would have taken over 300 test wickets.
Most importantly, he wasn't used to his fullest of his abilities. I think he should have played only tests. Had he done that he would have finished with 350 plus wickets.
I was on the Sydney hill when Goughie took this hat trick. Us England fans went utterly ballistic when he cleaned up Miller to complete it. A moment I'll always cherish in a series we were well beat.
Gough was arguably the BEST English bowler of all time just slightly ahead of Caddick for me. They both had the capacity to run through the line-ups and were an extra-ordinary force to reckon when they bowled in tandem !
This is how you should bowl to tailenders..not a tricky line and length to set him up but he just went straight to the business 🔥 That's how it works with tail
Why do modern tail enders often end up scoring runs more than they genuinely should? It's because they don't get deliveries like this. Bowlers bowling deadly yorkers are rarer than hen's teeth nowadays. Probably the deadliest ball a bowler can bowl after bouncers is sadly dying.
Darren Gough, Matthew Hoggard, Harmison, and Flintoff were real trouble at that time. I still remember Sehwag getting dismissed by Hoggard, in the same manner, all the time (The gap between bat and pad).
That delivery to funky Miller would have knocked over better batsmen. Pretty good hat trick.
Gough, Harmison, Flintoff and Anderson. What an amazing combined attack.
Include Stuart broad
@@sudiptadas3681 agreed
Except they didn't play together.
Matthew hoggard
@@blooter6360 gough played one day cricket with those players. He retired from one day in 2006
Darren Gough was an Aussie in the English dressing room. Even the Aussies loved him. Terrific bowler. He along with Waqar had the most lethal Yorkers.
Saffers loved him too (except when he was playing against us)
During that period Darren Gough was one of the fastest bowlers in the world
muhammad zahid and shoaib was the fastest due to injurty zahid was no longer available but akhtar in 1999 was bowling 97 mph even darren admits his yorker which batsman blocked would go for 4 runs
Yeah he was bowling at 110 km consistently
@@floatingpeaks4584 mate Gough was recorded @151KPH IN 1999 and he was quicker at the early stages of his carrer
@@jasmeenahamed9531bla bla bla
He is such an underated bowler ❤️
How can he be underrated? One of the finest pace bowlers ever to play cricket.
A very underrated bowler. Could bowl 90+ mph and had the best inswinging Yorker other than Waqar. Had he stayed fit im sure he would have taken over 300 test wickets.
Expecting some underrated comments voila ..here you are 🤣🤣
Days before central contracts otherwise he'd of played 100 tests and been one of England's leading wicket takers
Most importantly, he wasn't used to his fullest of his abilities. I think he should have played only tests. Had he done that he would have finished with 350 plus wickets.
So in other words he wasn't underrated
While in Melbourne we missed seeing this live because Channel 9 went straight to the news.
I was on the Sydney hill when Goughie took this hat trick. Us England fans went utterly ballistic when he cleaned up Miller to complete it. A moment I'll always cherish in a series we were well beat.
We don’t hear the roar of crowd like this nowadays. I thought this is a football match by seeing the crowd cheering. That was the best time of cricket
90's cricket was bliss

@@AnujYadav-lu1th Comment karne se pehle jara description padh lete toh achcha hota. Ye match 1999 ka hai jo 90's mein aata hai.
One of the most pleasant bowlers to watch.
1 of the best Fast Bowler in 1990s era...God pls gv me my GOLDEN DAYS of 1990s!!!
Gough was arguably the BEST English bowler of all time just slightly ahead of Caddick for me. They both had the capacity to run through the line-ups and were an extra-ordinary force to reckon when they bowled in tandem !
Swing, speed and accuracy. He had to be seen to be believed when he was in full pomp!
He was such a charming guy
My favourite hat trick
He is one of my best all time fast bowlers. One of the very few and best exponents of reverse swing bowling amongst non Asian bowlers.
Gough had an awesome bowling action!
I am from Pakistan 41 years old. When Gough came he was my best bowler at that time. He had that great ability to bowl in swinging yorker like Waqar.
That hat trick ball changed trajectory the last minute
Gough was sensational in this series.
Love the commentary - even though it's an Aussie commentating, he's fully behind Gough and really adds to the moment!
Happy Birthday Darren Gough.. 🎂🎉
0:17 that was awesome
(Stumps flying)
I watched this without swearing. I even almost admitted to myself he could bowl a bit. The wounds must be healing.
Gough :this is the best hatrick
Siddle : Hold my vodka
you hold we don't idiot
What an idiotic comment
Got to love Goughie
That was a classical era of cricket
Sweet action ❤
I used to think during childhood Darren Gough is Darren Cough 🤣🤣..
Sad
That indeed is sad
The last batsman looks like Mr Bean
Gough celebrated more after the last wicket fell at MCG than this hat trick
Superb team man
Who else remember Andy caddick and Gough..🔥
I always follow cricket Australia
Good old days
Still it's good
This is how you should bowl to tailenders..not a tricky line and length to set him up but he just went straight to the business 🔥
That's how it works with tail
I also think Yorkers n bouncers to the body is best to deal em
Though it's the best option.. tailenders these days aren't a walking wicket..
@@abhishekpalav1358 Are you sure about that? Barring Yasir's century I don't remember any Asian tail ender scoring over 10 frequently.
@@Rikka_V1 ssly you want a tailender to score a century to prove he's not a walking wicket??
Thanks
Missing vault music😔
These guys for some reason absolutely hate poms 😂
My child time best swin bowler

Darren Gough vs James Anderson who is better bowler
James Anderson of coarse!
Are we just gonna avoid that photo of Miller's?
Wow what a hat trick3
usually bowlers go with an in-swinger in these situations, he went with the away swinger......he was a good bowler
Who is the commentator? Who is giving commentary along with Richie benaud?
Simon O'Donnell
Wow....😇

0:15 bowled!
Give me a hat-trick from the SCG.
