- Learn how to make one of my favorite sugar flowers, the Gumpaste Anemone! I love this classic, vintage feeling flower. It's not only beautiful but quick and easy to make. I use these flowers on all sorts of occasions, but it would be a perfect flower to make to impress mom with a special Mother's Day Cake!

Stunning! I love the method without the board since I have no board .;) Thank you for this great tutorial!

Beautiful. Thanks for the informative video!
These flowers are gorgeous and your tutorial is awesome! I love that you showed multiple ways to make them using different tools.
+Katy In Neverland Thank you so much! I'm so glad the different techniques were appreciated!
Your flowers are so pretty, I especially liked your tip how to attache the petals to the wire without that special board you have (since I don't have one). The finished cake is a show stopper for sure! Great video Renee and thanks for another awesome collaboration.
+Montreal Confections Thank you! The grooved board makes it easier, but I wanted to show how to "use what you have", I'm so glad I don't seem to have confused everyone!
Beautiful! Thank you

You do such beautiful flowers Renee, what a great tip about gelatin. I have to check out gumpaste recipe I also make my own but I've been wanting to try a new recipe. Thank you.
+Haniela's Thank you so much! That recipe is the best gumpaste I've ever worked with... it freezes really well, so i always have some on hand :)
I have been putting off trying to use gumpaste.. but watching this really makes me want to give it a go! thanks for the motivation.

bellas las anémonas
+Aracelis Santillan Gracias!
😍😍😍
Beautiful
+Susan Kang Thank you!
I'm always wondering where i could find hawk/wire that the same as yours..because i have wire that i had bought but it's a florist/floral wire so it's kind of a weak or easily bend.
+Ami131531 I buy mine from cake supply shops, I have one local to me. Or from Amazon (I have a link in the description) or from online cake shops like globalsugarart.com. The brand I prefer is called Sunrise Floral Wires. They come in different "gauges" the higher the number the thinner "more bendy" the wire.
Love your Anemones Renee, so pretty! Great tip to use powdered gelatine, I thought it was sanding sugar at first :)
+Creative Cakes by Sharon Thank you, Sharon! And thank you for another great collaboration!
beautiful and elegant work ,, can i use cmc instade of taylose in gumpatse recipe ?
Yes, I believe CMC powder and Tylose are the same thing. You should be able to use CMC as an exact substitute for Tylose :D
Renee Conner thank you very much ❤💋
Can I use yellow and a touch of gold? Centre yellow...?
Yes, that would be beautiful
How did you color your gelatin? Thank you!
+c0cooned Just put the gelatin in a bowl (I use a packet) and mix in powdered black petal dust until it is as dark as you'd like. It makes a lot more than you need (if you use a full packet), so just store the remainder in an air tight container away from humidity and it stores virtually forever.
Ok, just made the gumpaste, it's a large quantity. How do you store it? How long it lasts? I'm very excited, can't wait to make your flowers tutorials!
+Fiore Fer You can store it in the fridge for 2-3 months or even freeze it for up to 6. I just cut off small amounts and let it come to room temp before using :)
+Renee Conner thank you. I divided it in fourths. Now, I'm going to store three and start working!
no hablo inglés, pero me encanta esta página
+Aracelis Santillan Gracias!
