So I just read this (2/16/24) For five years, a New York City man (Mickey Barreto) managed to live rent-free in a landmark Manhattan hotel (The New Yorker Hotel) by exploiting an obscure local housing law that allows occupants of single rooms in buildings constructed before 1969 to request a lease. The New Yorker Hotel refused, Barreto took them to court and won, and lived rent free because the hotel refused to negotiate a lease with him. Litigation is ongoing. BTW, the New Yorker is owned by the Unification Church.
Nice detailed review, we stayed here in March & loved the hotel and room size. I have also done a room review. We had a massive room & it was spotless and cleaned daily.
Proximity to subway should also be considered as I believe New Yorker has quicker access to the several subway lines compared to Paramount. Also depends if you want to stay close to Times Square or further away from all that activity ; )
VERY GOOD REWIEV. ACCORDING MY TASTE. looking forward to other reviews. just explain me one - how come your price was 150 doll and on booking was almost 300 dolls the same room. because i live in europe??
Thanks for the message. Like majority of the hotels (and airlines), the rates vary between seasons, dates and availability. I simply picked the cheapest day to book so I can review the hotel. Hope this helps! Example: todays rate will definitely not going to be the same as New Years Eve or Christmas Day Rates.
If the price points are the same, book the Hotel Edison (signature room) instead. This way, you will have free grab and go options as well. If you want to spend a little bit more, book the RIU Times Square. They have a fridge and free bfast.
Thank you for your video. How would you get on the hop on hop off buses? Do they come near the hotel? If not, do you know how far you would need to walk?

Hi there, comparing both thoroughly, if you are staying 2-5 nights or longer I would stay at the Aliz Times Square. They have a Mini refrigerator and almost in the same location.

My favorite stay! The staff is awesome. I love the vintage glamour. Some rooms have two beds and two baths! Beautiful old school charm!
We love the art deco style! We stayed in Hotel Edison next. Its also amazing. Will upload it soon :)
Just keep on vloging your doing a goid job. I will support all your contents.
Stay there frequently when I come in the city for concerts at Madison Square Garden. So convenient and never had a problem.

How easy is it to get a cab? Or get a cab back to the airport??
It’s fairly easy. You can just hail a yellow cab outside of the hotel. I would recommend using Uber to the airport tho (I usually use this). Enjoy! 😊
Oh yea. Uber lol. Thank you!!
Cabs park up outside but its far easier to get the LIRR from Penn which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel
