- Опубліковано 19 жов 2024
- Watch this video and learn the concept of 3D Stress Tensor Rotation. This topic is a part of the Strength of a Material stream that is also called the Mechanics of Solids and Mechanics of Deformable Material. The subject basically refers to the maximum Internal Resistance offered by a material to the External Load.

simple, short, to the point and accurate, never had such a quick explaination of tensors in such a short time. very condensed and straightforward and clear. GREAT THANKS.
You’ve just finished 3 hours of my uni lecture within 4min with perfect explanation.. great job 🤜🤛

Are you take a master degree in Solid mechanics? Even in the hibbeler book of mechanics of materials only describe in general for this holy topic 😂
Many thanks for the detailed graphical explanation 👍!!! Really helped me to "see" those forces.

Absolutely perfect. This is a poster-child of how logic and beautiful science is.
You forgot the part where you explain 3D Stress Tensor Rotation
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Exactly
Only 4 minutes but makes it crystal clear, well done!

Where the hell is the rotation? This just explains WHAT a stress cube is.
Now you're Stressed 😂
well there will be no shear stress rotation as the moment caused by the shear stress balances on positive and negative face and there will be no moment or rotation taken into account

its very useful.can understand basics of advanced mechanics of solids very easily, students can get their basics from here.try to upload more such vedioes...thank you
Beautifully explained..!!!
thank you very nice explanation of tensors!
Your shear stress convention is opposite what we learned in class. I wish convention would be consistent.
sir videos are too good to understand concepts, sir please upload all the videos regarding mechanical engineering. it is very useful for us to understand the basic concepts.
Verry good explication

Excellent work in solid state physics. In fluid physics, at millions of Kelvin in magnetic confinement, random particle collision by H & He can be ordered by controlling the number of atoms of each in the tokamak. Microwaves help resonant oscillations to allow ton and tron interactions. Grasp the gist.
better explanation which i ever seen

Shear stress is acting on the z face of the element and in the x-diretion.
Tensão de cisalhamento está atuando na face z do elemento e na direção x.
The stress tensor is very important in fluid analysis.
kindly send the link of the rest of video in which u explained the plane stress condition and equation of equilibrium

How did you get the graphics so well down in drawing the stress block? What software did you use to make it look nice? 0:31
Damn this was too good!.
Many thanks!
Great explanation..... Very nice....
Nice explanation! Thaks a lot!!!
The body is in equilibrium
Thats why Tow xy = tow yx
Moment about any edge gives this
its really usefull... thank you all

Excellent
What are all these people thanking the guy for? There is basically nothing about tensors here, just generic info about the types of stresses acting on an element.
thanks sir,its easy n helpful
NOTE :
The notations are not fixed
I.e
sigma for axial stress(sigma need not be axial always)
Tow for shear stress(tow need not be shear always)
ex:
Sigma XY = tow xy
Also tow XX means sigma X
Holy shit, Thank you so much!! this is so good
just perfect
Why you didn't consider the weight of element as a force in y- direction??
Amazing !
Very symple and clear

nice explanation of tensor but where is rotation?
Where the fuck is rotation in this ?
You need to calculate the shear stress of an element given a distance of a center of rotation. There is no stress caused by rotation without dimensions. Shear stress will be defined from the torque divided by the distance times the area.
He's talking about the rotation of the stress tensor itself. Video implies that the tensor gets rotated (i.e. transformed) into a different cartesian coordinate system.
nice job

This only defines the stress element and tensor in 3D, does not discuss rotation at all.
