The BEST version of this song I've ever heard in my 70+ years. Linda above all else. Then layer in Wendy, her harmony singer, a fantastic band, blended then with the 3 part harmony near the end, and topped off throughout with Linda.
Wendy is good but no Emmylou. Likewise this performance is not so as the album track.

It is beyond ludicrous that she has not been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Should have happened 20 years ago. Why are they leaving her out??

she did alright when singing anglo songs although she tried too hard. her mexican efforts only prove if you want to sing mexican songs you must first be a mexican national.
i give her credit for her sincereity and the little girl in her.
Are you sure about your assessment of her achievements and her family roots and her commitments to it? I think Linda just went along, at first, with what was accepted and then controlled her own choices later in her career. Good job ,Linda.
