Ahh man you just made my day!!! Thank you for the kind complement. More videos are coming, I’ve been to the field quite a bit and I have some good footage. It’s the editing and coming up with worthwhile topics that takes so much time.
Thanks brother! It has been a whole hell of a lot of stick time. I’m still pretty weird about flying around people, so when the big guns are out, I tend to sit idly by, watch and learn. 99% of the videos you see are me at the field alone.
Hola 👋 Excelentes notas a tener en cuenta, sin dudas son estos pequeños detalles los que marcan la diferencia junto con la práctica. Excelente video. Agradezco mucho tu aporte a la comunidad. Saludos desde Cuba 🇨🇺
Rolling harriers are my safe place. If I screw up, I rolling harrier. It’s the fastest way for me to stabilize the plane. Meaning, if my plane snaps out or I come out of a maneuver funky… rolling harrier. Once you can find that perfect stick combo, you can get out of a lot more close calls. If you are pulling them off you can learn how to perfect them. Im trying to figure out how to do a rolling harrier video that isn’t an hour long. There is so much to doing them well. We can always work together on the sim.
In bowling they call it body "English" not body language, but I got it... And I do the same thing now that I stand when I fly. (I used to sit in a chair). because that's how I learned.
Thank you! This is perfect information for me. I have taken up RC flying late in life and I love it. But because my eyesight is poor I am transitioning to 3D low, close in and slow. It requires more skill so I spend lots of time on the simulator and watch instructional videos just like this. Also restricting the space in which my plane flies is a big problem for me. Keeping the altitude and distance out at a reasonable constraint would be a skill I would want to learn. I have been performing the elevators and out and back harriers quite a bit. Inevitably the distance and altitude gets too great and I lose perspective on the altitude and orientation of the aircraft.
I’m sorry to hear about your vision. What size of airplane are you using? What color is it? I ask because certain colors naturally help with depth perception, yellow is great for seeing depth. If you can find yellow glasses (shooting glasses) or if you have heavy sunlight amber lenses, they will help with depth as well. I personally use amber lenses and they have made a huge difference for me.
Thank you. I’ll try the amber glasses. I actually do have a pair. My new plane is a red PA Addiction V3. Not yellow, but I sometimes use yellow reflective tape on the underside of my planes. I like the a Addiction because of the very light wing loading (approx 7.45 oz per square foot) . Would love to see you fly one day. Only one state over from your territory.
Nice. I have an addiction xl that I got crashed. I’ve repaired it I really need to swap out the servos on it, the ones in it are REALLY slow and underpowered. Where are you located?? I travel to fly a lot.
Nice. I was supposed to go to the IMAC competition there last weekend and things didn’t quite work out. The field I fly at in NW Georgia is in Menlo. It’s a beautiful field and well worth the drive.
You are my favorite pilot to watch on UA-cam. Thanks for continuously pumping out these incredibly helpful videos!

Dude, you are getting really good. I guess it helps to fly with all the big dogs. Looking really good my friend

You’re welcome and thanks for your support. There is no substitute for practice. And when you practice with a plan, that time is far more effective.
I have to practice so my rolling harriers can be as slow as yours... mine is not that great yet,, and I end up doing it too fast. great video

Yeah I should have said body English. That was a brain fart on my part. I was just adding a little humor into my rant. Trying to keep things real.

I’m in the Birmingham area.
