- Welcome back to the It Girl Playbook! Today, we’ll continue our series 'It Girl Lessons from It Girls' by diving into the world of a true Hollywood icon, Marilyn Monroe.
In this episode, we explore how Marilyn Monroe, once known as the shy Norma Jeane, transformed her life through her iconic alter ego, embodying glam and confidence that left the world in awe.
You see, even stars like Beyoncé with her alter ego, Sasha Fierce also use their stage personas to exude confidence and charisma. And, ladies, you can do it too! By simply changing your mindset and believing in your own worth can transform how others see you and mind you, no expensive makeovers needed!
And just a reminder: creating an alter ego isn't about rejecting your true self. This concept is about empowering yourself to be the best version you can be! Whether you're looking to boost your confidence or make a positive change in your life, by truly embracing your alter ego, you can walk with confidence just like Marilyn Monroe and Beyoncé did.

As a little girl I didn’t grow up in a stable healthy household. I used to day dream so vividly of what I would become after I left my childhood homes. It was a means of escape from the rough realities I faced. I essentially manifested the way my hair would look, the way I spoke, the way I dressed, absolutely every detail even down to my husband and children and guess what it all happened xx
💛
I'm so happy for u i hope u get everything u want in life, did u manage ur daydreamings in a certain way that benefit u bc im like u but i'm becoming kind of a maladaptive daydreamer lol
@@j1h4n37 thank you so very much darling. I did it in a kind of meditation way, lots of deep breathing and imagining. I was so young I didn’t really know what I was doing to start with but I soon got the hang of it and it became routine. I didn’t speak about it and I didn’t even know what I was doing was called. I do it now but it’s less frequent and I do it alongside gratification x hope this reply helps somewhat xx
@@j1h4n37 I only maybe recently discovered what maladaptive daydreaming was and I'm so glad it's not just me💀 I thought I was weird or something.
Girl you make me believe in my dreams ❤😊
this is real manifestation, becoming what you desire because you already have your desire, instead of waiting until it "comes true"
Building an alter ego is great but what I’m learning as a woman almost hitting 40 is that if you don’t do the inner work to shift/grow than the outer alter ego is just a shell and they don’t sync up and it absolutely wreaks havoc in your life. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it’s true. It’s a lot of work doing the inner stuff but I believe it’s so worth it and it actually is the thing that gives a reference point to the outer you.
You are absolutely right! Without the inner work (emotional and intellectual) a woman will end up like Norma Jeane ended up. I'm close to 41, and only now I feel me and my alter ego are closer to be integrated, because I was able to become guided by my inner peace.
You're so right
True. A lot of people believe their identity is just there beliefs and their desires. But your identity is your actions. You could say you are nice but if your habits say other wise then…
Spot on!! Changing the exterior can help with your interior healing but it's not enough if you truly want to become your dream self
No you’re so right. I did this my sophomore year in high school of having an alter ego and it was such a bad time.
5:15 EXACTLYY If you really want to love yourself, you need to treat yourself like your friend, mom, lover, someone you love. Would you want them to stay depressed and insecure? No! You would want them to change, reach their utmost potential, and thrive. That is exactly what you should want for yourself too.
Compliment yourself like you would a friend. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and offer yourself words of encouragement. Take time to care for your mental and physical health, and don’t be afraid to set boundaries that protect your peace. Be patient with yourself, forgive your mistakes, and acknowledge your worth.
You are your best friend, and you have to treat yourself like one.
Wow yes! 🙌🏼 awesome! 👏🏼
Tysm! It helped🥰
This reminds me of the phrase "fake it until you make it." I'm from Brazil and I'm starting out as a model, so a big reference for me is also Gisele Bundchen. She mentions in her book that when she walked the runway, she embodied a persona full of confidence and strength, which was reflected in her walk, her gaze, and the way she moved on the catwalk. This helped her a lot with criticism as well. Models hear a lot of crap, and a large part of the beginning of a career is about being rejected in castings. About this, Gisele said that every time someone told her something, she directed those comments to her alter ego. I've been trying to create my persona, and this video appeared at the perfect time. I loved it! You've gained another subscriber.
Kisses from Brazil ❤❤
I'm rooting for you! I hope everything goes well for you and you are blessed and protected in your career/life.

I was very anxious today about career-related issues but reading this made my heart calm. I also wish blessings for you, your life, and all the happiness!!
Good luck!!!
boa sorte ❤️
Best wishes for u dear. May u achieve ur goal ❤
I love when girls level up wishing you all the best.
Here are a few more things I have learned over the years:
1) People's opinion of you is a projection of their own subjective perception, it doesn't matter what you do somewhere someone will dislike you for something, mostly this kind of hatred stems from jealousy and jealousy stems from insecurity.
2) Do not give people, their opinions or action the power to control your happiness, Do not rely on external validation.
3) Be grounded in yourself and be self aware, we can unintentionally do stuff that maybe hurtful or not nice, evaluate your actions and values make it a habit, and don't beat yourself over something mistakes happen learn to apologize, forgive yourself and others.
4) Learn from the past and move on, I know it's easier said than done but focusing on the present and building a better future is the only logical thing to do.
5)Manage your stress levels and anxiety. I can not stress this enough being aware of when you need to relax and take a break is very important. Journal, talk to your therapist (if you have one) and friends. Or simply just talk to yourself out loud.
6) Remember this isn't the end, life can always get better, believe in yourself. 💗
That talk to yourself out loud thing is so fr ❤
This channel gon blow up.
Yea
it def should
It already has
Ya
Just discovered it now, I'm in love
celebrities are the definition of "don't like who you are? then hit that costume shop, rock a new and different sexy look!"
i'd say, being able to distinguish yourself and your alter ego will make you very powerful and it is very beneficial. but you can also use this to slowly becoming the girl/boy you dream of. if you wanted to glow up (in terms of self and personality), if you wanted to change, this is the right thing for you to do. create an alter ego, it's not being fake, it's becoming the person you desire to be. think about what this person likes, their dislikes, how they act, what would they think if this something happened, what kind of person are they, think of them as a character that is suits to your liking and then be them. be this person you admired, you desired. at one time, you will realized you're just becoming your higher self. because no matter how much you hated yourself, you can't change your taste in person. your alter ego is just another you with a healthy mindset, maybe happier.
Marilyn didn’t just change her mindset, she did more work then most of you could ever imagine and she had TREMENDOUS HELP from her modeling & acting industry. It’s not that simple. It’s so sad girls are still idolizing this woman she was a WARNING not an idol!!!!
girl bye
You have a point. I know at time she was terribly unhappy, and I think some didn't take her very seriously as an actress. I think she might have wanted more complex roles, but I could be wrong.
Bro nobody talked about her appearance 💀
lets remember that it was a different time back then where men were still largely in control of many things , so i disagree that marilyn didn't make it on her own , she really did , considering men in the industry didn't think of her as anything more than a piece of candy. marilyn had to pave her own way through a lot of things , including acting and modeling and still wasn't given her due. so , for you to say she had tremendous help is a big stretch , she knew what she needed to do to secure her spot , and that's being practical and smart.
I asked my therapist about making a whole new identity and she said it could harm me because I'm essentially not addressing my actual issues😢
True honestly
i think its not abt completely ignoring all your problems and running to the new identity as escapism, but i think its more so abt acknowledging amd identifying ur weaknesses and creating a new identity / alter ego that can help u step into ur higher / ideal self ...!
maybe just become a better version of yourself rather than creating a completely new identity
I say lets do it..both of us..what else do we have to loose😊I think it would be fun
Personally I don't recommend this if you have mental issues. I did this myself and my anxiety and depression got so much worse
This video made me realise I think I have one too. Im generally a very VERY quiet person. Before speeches at school I'd be RATTLING with fear. But the second I'm in front of people. And I speak. I don't know how to explain this but my fear takes a backseat. After my one speech, my friend literally asked me "Were you even nervous?" if only they knew how badly my stomach was turning with fear.
We all have this inside us
It's crazy how no one is talking about Women’s Magic Truths on Borlest. This book has secrets that could change everything, but people seem blind to it. Wake up and see for yourself!
Scammer 😂
Guys Don’t fall for it, its publicity for his book and probably gonna scam you at the same time
Marilyn was smart it makes her stand out in the first place
Alter egos sound pretty damn rad
I have 3 version of myself
1) Anastasia - lovely
2) Queen - powerful
3) Trinity - dangerous
I am using them interchangeably whenever needed. I changed my entire life in just 1 year. Went from the girl with brutal & extremely cruel traumatic past to someone of power and influence. I keep evolving but you know it's working when you have successfull men making 7-8-9 figures spending their precious time for you, thinking of you highly, wanted to marry you & told you "i've never met someone like you." ❤🎉 This works 💯
Is this manifestation of it showing on your reality for real? Cuz that’s inspiring
@@vima3609 It is 🥰✨ it requires a lot of self healings, sacrifices, facing your fears and reverse programming to fix the false beliefs but once you get there, it's only magics and miracles xx
But also as a loving reminder, Please be careful & make sure to always have protection in place. It's easy to fall in the same trap as Marilyn's Monroe was in. It's crazy up there. It's an entirely brutal & unusual playing field especially if you are a women. You are not only against the world but also the bad men who see you as tools for success. Choose carefully. ✨
Embracing and loving yourself isn’t about highlighting who you are in that moment it’s about realizing you have something to show others. It’s embracing your best self, and loving all the good parts along with who you can be.
Self love is striving towards your full potential and enforcing standards for yourself and your life. And of course, putting yourself first, meeting your own needs, talking nice to yourself, and not taking any nonsense from anyone else.
Oh my gosh, I used to do this as a kid all the time with fictional characters. I never knew what it was and even tried searching it up but nothing came up. When I shifted I would feel exactly like them, sometimes it took doing a certain face or not and then bam, Sherlock o’ clock. I did it often with Sherlock and felt like him and wanted to be smart and talk sophisticated like him and eventually I became him, it’s where I picked up a lot of my personality traits of walking with my hands behind my back and looking at little details on nouns. Then there was Hawks’ confidence and cockiness, I loved it so when I shifted into Hawks mode It felt easier to be a little more confident even if it wasn’t fully. I didn’t understand it until now, but I enjoyed doing it, especially in my alone time because I could play a part that wasn’t me for a while and make stories up about these characters every night, pretending to live their lives
Finally! Someone else who did this as a kid! For me it was strong female characters like Lara Croft or Catwoman. I've tried to find it online too and couldn't find anything that explained it. They way you put it was perfect. It was a shift. Shift of personality, demeanor, and overall feeling.
@@twinklepeach520 that’s really cool and awesome that you can relate! It’s nice to know we aren’t the only ones, haha
I used to do that too!!! with sherlock holmes, i was obsessed with him as a kid
binge watching all of your videos right now
Can't wait!🥹❤️
Madonna would be another good example of an alter ego. Her before and after fame is striking
I think most pretty girls do this without knowing. They walk nicely, with pretty gestures. Your grandmas teach this things, like walking up straight, chess out, teaching of to wear heals, always tight mini size waist if possible, working out, drink water, etc, what else ? 💇♀️
I needed to hear this. Thank you! I'm finding more and more that we manifest our own realities. Today alone I sensed my aura was a little offputting, and sure enough I had a couple of rude encounters. We are what we put out into the world. We can change that at any moment!
The Marilyn story is one of my fav stories ever
I love who I am and I am secure in myself. I have millions of fans and haters so obiviously I am doing something right your fans are an extension of your greatness and your haters are an extension of their own insecurities so I accpet myself wholeheartedly with out any apologies.
me and you both 🩷
u dont need haters.
Hey Girls. Levelling up❤❤❤
I LOVE this channel.Binged watched all of the videos.
so grateful to have you here
Girl thank you for this. I absolutly LOVE LOVE LOVE the way you narrorate these advise videos. It's soooo useful for me !!! please continue making these they help me become ' HER ' so much. kisses
This is what I feel when I listen to my favorite music and I'm walking. There's a dance in my step. I get complimented on my walk and my legs and cars will spin back around. And I'm short. I used to think only tall ppl got complimented on their legs when I was younger
OMG I love this concept of creating an alter ego, the highest version of yourself, and stepping into her. It's not as easy, and it doesn't come naturally to me, but I'll try!
GIRLLL, I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR CHANNEL
thank you so much!
Let me see if I can transform myself into a version that doesn't need anything from anyone else.🎉
this is the goal
Please do a video on how you can get into an altered state ego and stay there...that would be fun!
will you also do "it girls" but like based on tv/film characters? if yes, i would love to see one about blair waldorf! i know serena is the "it girl" of gossip girl but there's so much to learn from blair's choices, mistakes, and personalities
Omg... I already have alter ego. I even drew it, and I am as it in my dreams which helped me improve it. And my alter ego is... superhero with multidimentional power... but I guess noone see me as it 😂
Was Marilyn the best example to use? She was lonely, miserable, estranged from her true core essence by her persona.
I concede the point but we re talking alter ego 's here, a polar opposite almost!😊
She was human living in a tough environment. Shocker
This is helping me so much to step into tht "deserving" persona / mindset, because why won't things go smoothly for me? I deserve the best. Love to embrace my higher self, thank you so much for this video. I'm excited to be my whole secure self each day
It’s shocking how Women’s Magic Truths on Borlest isn’t being discussed. The book is full of life-changing insights, yet no one seems to notice. Time to break the trance and read it yourself!
I appreciate your video. Here I’d like to say, it’s important to recognise the why we are changing as well as seeking via journaling or talking with a friend what we want to feel and become. When we are clear about it we can ensure we are bringing the higher version out, versus copying another persons “style, confidence, looks” whichever it is, choose to change to become a better version of yourself specifically, and that could take a bit of self exploration.
I love this ❤ well said. This is an honest real version of why self love isn’t always the solution !
Marilyn obviously put on an act because it paid. Grown women don't don't baby talk in their everyday lives if they want to be taken seriously.
You’re on to something sis, this channel is YES
once this channel grows up,imma be able to say i was here, good job

My first vid of yours! Great advice, and love Marilyn Monroe
Literally taking notes
creating a mood board of your alter ego on pintrest may also help you tune in with the new vibes

The lack of buzz around Women’s Magic Truths on Borlest is baffling. This book holds the key to amazing secrets, but no one seems to care. Don’t stay in the dark - find out what everyone’s missing!
My real name is Kathy Kim during Covid I transformed to Katherine Raquelle… of Raquelle from Barbie as a human ❤ I already manifested in 2007…
have a feeling i might binge all the videos on this channel soon idk 🧡 xoxo
I support
Marilyn had a very tragic life and death. Why women use her as a positive example is beyond me.
Omg so agreed. Just yesterday I saw a video on “marilyns best advice for improving confidence” and it was so dystopian like are we just going to gloss over her “death” ….
So true. She wore wigs because all her natural hair was falling down. She was depressive and took so so much time to have her « Marilyn appareance »
Her beauty was her biggest issue, people want to break beautiful things and unfortunately it was Marilyn, her life sounded like a nightmare
I find it very disrespectful as well. It feels like they're treating Marilyn/Norma as a romanticized idea rather than an actual human being who had many struggles and was not perfect.
I still adore Marilyn, and what she accomplished in her life is incredible, but this feels very disconnected from her as a person with emotions.
i literally loved your video and was shocked to see how many views you have, you definitely deserve more!! love your content
Thanks for putting all this together I learnt a lot❤❤
one thing i would recommend is going to therapy not because there is sth wrong with you bt therapy really help to grow yourself mentally, intellectually and emotionally
I was always fat as a kid from the minute I was born but I knew one day the women in the magazine will be me and guess after 20 years I was walking the ramp and I still believe I will walk the ramp once again when I am in my 50s
The silence around Women’s Magic Truths on Borlest is unbelievable. This book reveals powerful techniques, yet people remain unaware. Don't miss out - discover what everyone's ignoring!
„This comes to show that you do not have to dramatically…“ *shows a picture of kylie jenner* „change your appearance.“
Loving it🎀
Thank you so much darling❤️🥰
Beautiful, lovely, inspiring thoughts to share and also is very effective.
3:44 , who gon tell her thay Marilyn had undergone surgeries and skin bleaching as well. 😭☝️
I think you missed the point. Marilyn had gotten these surgeries, died her hair, lost weight, etc. and still her personality had an effect on how she was perceived. Her “turning it on” what the switch that got attention. The looks HELPED her obviously, but it was the confidence and aura that got people to react.
@@paigew6707 I completely agree with you , but I guess her looking the part helped her as well , from her body mannerisms that hid what she perceived as flaws , which were mind-blowing to say the least , to the hair and makeup tips she implemented to highlight her sensuality , it's a whole package, she knew how to perfectly play the "Marilyn Monroe" role , and she needed a visual canvas that suited it. Although Marilyn Monroe embodied that persona because she needed to do , in order to stay relevant in the Hollywood scene , and she did it better than most , and that's why she stood out.
Not the point. Please continue on with your confidence journey, you surely need it 😊 god bless you ❤
That's so true...yet. NORMA JEAN DID spend so much money on surgeries as well as tons of makeup to become "Marilyn Monroe"....🤷🏽♀️...to become that comfortable with herself to be THEE MARILYN MONROE ❤ she practiced for hours day in and day out to become Marilyn. Period.
Yeah and she also wore wigs because all of her natural hair was falling down. She also was very depressive and all that « transformation » was not really good for her mental health.
@@Besa_Rollergirl dam. Yeah...😕 at least she got so much love from one's shell never know of....😏
But don’t be delusional though, a lot of people of that concept of themselves and still would be ugly, confidence is cool but don’t walk in delusion, cause you’ll get the wrong attention, just love urself that’s all u need then ppl will love you
Totally worth to watch it ❤
I love Marilyn Monroe 💋

I lost that side of me in 2020 but I’m working on getting it back. Being shy and fearful sucks
Proud to say im a fan since beginning
No. This is incredibly unhealthy.
Y’all need to STOP trying to become someone else, and encouraging other girls to think the same way. It’s genuinely sad and empty.
Learn to admire others without wanting or trying to become like them. Just be who you really are. Not a wannabe.
If you're literally depressed with who you are, i see no reason to not change yourself

I am a Men, and I would like to be a Male Version of Merilyn! I would like to do to Women what Merilyn did to Men! What should I do? Can You give me Examples?!
I’m not sure, but reading your comment John Draper from Mad Men can to mind. He had all the ladies wrapped around his finger and he had an air of self esteem. Hope this helps ❤
Can this work for manifesting my desired body and life?
Yes 🙌, our new bodies !!
It looks amazing!!
I dont think so, but there are countries where u can get cheap plastic surgery and good quality in Eastern Europe or just excercise 5 times a week and avoid dairy and processed food.
We get all that with manifestations, but when you use a photo with before and Afters of plastic surgery that’s kind of false advertising
First off, love the video, but I tried doing this as well putting a lot of effort into my appearance. But I feel like I just doesn’t have the facial features to channel the vibe/look I want or to just look like an pretty girl☹️ It feel like no matter what I do I’ll always just be forced into a plain Jane/homely archetype (if that make sense) idk I just feel stuck. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?
UA-cam is at again giving me hints.
Excellent video, especially your insights at the end

And also Monarch experiment. They made them traumatized for creating Alter egos.
