Thank you so much for this video. Love GB!
I stumbled across this today and it made my day. I saw him at the Panida in Sandpoint sometime in the 2000s. Unforgettable. This concert was the best. We're all old fogeys now.The music is still alive. Love it.
Grew up listening to this fine lad. Fills my bucket every time I hear his voice….
Thanks for uploading this great concert! I've been a fan of Greg's since my U of I days, eons ago, but never thought to look up a live concert of his on UA-cam,. What a delight to find this gem!
What a surprise to see this here 30 years later. I remember that night well. It was so much fun. Still love Greg Brown.
I’m envious! How wonderful to be part of this intimate and special performance. I’ve loved Greg Brown and his music for decades but as a kiwi have never been able to see him live. This one is a treasure.
I saw him once at The Joyo Theater in Lincoln Nebraska right around this time. Maybe a year later. Bought a couple of his cassettes and wore them out.
Can I like this a million times?
Agreed!
Sure, but ya gotta keep That in yer Head, only the Brain handles That kinda Like, yeah!!! I'm a True Believer, man!! (shit WE said in '70s)
I dont want your millions, mister.
This is the best! A safe place. Greg is magic.
Oh the purity. Love this guy. Jack Johnson turned me onto him about 10 years ago. Thanks Jack!
Yes...what everyone else said. Thank you very much. If I was stranded on a desert island with one record I'd consider myself very lucky to have this show in my pocket!
maybe the best video on youtube!!
Bravo! A special treat. "Dream Cafe" sure evolved between this point and the official recording... from minor to major key.
Amazing. I first fell in love with his music one year after this show. This is so special.
Wow, a great musician and now I see...a True Storyteller, for a change, In the Banter as much as the Songs, Both are 'all Greg'. S'truth, yeh Billy?
It is such a joy to find this here, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful concert.
Such a special treat. Nothing like going back almost 30 years into a great songwriters career and enjoy where it all came from. Thanks! Ramcey in Nashville
In '92 Greg was 43 years old. He looked so young at that age.
YESSS!!! Thank you Mr Good for putting this out for us to see! What a beautiful gesture of good will to humankind.
What a gem!!!! Thank you so much for this archival slab of bliss!!!
Good one, John Good....thanks
Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Such a great performance! Thanks for sharing this video. Greg brown at his best!
Many thanks from me too! You made my day. Both video and audio are absolutely acceptable imo. Cheers!
Sounds better than the last time I heard this, thanks!
Thanks for posting this John!
Thank you for posting, I needed...
Yep, I Needed to SEE ......
What a gem - thanks for posting.
This is amazing. Thanks so much for posting!
Greg never dissappoints
February 19th and November 8th had an ugly little baby. And they call it…..today. Who writes lyrics like that anymore? Love him
What a gem
Really great, thank you!
Hell ya! Thanks for sharing.
Aaaahhh. His beat-poet/hippie/farm boy phase.
Fan from Prairie Home days. Caught him twice in St. Pete in '92.
He broke a string and while re-stringing told a story about having to learn a goofy song about......well, A bowling alley, done in the style of Ravell's Bolero.
All he could remember was the place was called Darrell's Bowl-aero.
I knew it, wrote it down, handed it to him between sets and he sang as the encore.
My one brush with royalty.
"When you are tired and it's Saturday night
Called up both your friends and neither was home
Public Radio was playing Ravell
A song you heard to many times before
Never really liked it."
So, you look in the fridge for something to eat
Frozen pizza or a chicken pot pie.
(something, something)
Week-old yogurt, slightly separated.
WOULDN'T YOU RATHER BE AT DARRELL'S BOWL-AERO?
Nothin Better!!!!!!! Greg Brown!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing this!
that PA system! those lights! and great music.
“More songs about buildings and food” refers to the sophomore album from Talking Heads.
I was thinking about a conversation I had with Eric Taylor and it ended with:”I thought we were friends, until I tried to talk to him at a bar where we were sharing a bill and he told me he didn’t want to be bothered.”Performing artists can often be on edge
yes please. Hey Greg how's the fishing in Missoula?
my mind is breaking, how did he and Iris Dement ever end up together? Both wonderful people!
Skinny
Standing
Still fishin’ w Bill
Close to to the apex of his powers as a performer
Fuckin amazing
I saw him one time in Vermont at higher ground for the Tom series. it was then I realized what an extraordinary guitar player he really is .
I often wondered who the guitar player who drank too much and play too much guitar was ,,,in the poet game and I miss him every time I hear his name. Does anybody know?
I always thought it was Bill Morrissey.
@@johngood331 Without researching, I'd guess timing would disprove the thought of Bill. Greg and Bo were on the outs for awhile. Again, timing. And, I do Love Pieta, too!
Was it Dave Moore?
@@tkinsella2 no
I know but ain't nobody's biz
@@AndrewCalhounSongs
Yeh, I don't give a damn either, it's All Greg, anyway!
“My friend Dave” probably referring to Dave Moore.
Can anyone get the quality above 480?
Holly eden
Kokain? ??
