- Young's Point Camping - Arctic Fox 811. The Johnsons are Camping with Power! It's time to test out the systems on the truck camper and "pop up" the new Gazelle G5 Gazebo. The Njume Family join us for a few days of relaxing in the beautiful Young's Point Provincial Park Campground where we enjoy walks in the forest, fishing on Sturgeon Lake, and Campfires in the peaceful evenings. Milo even takes a turn fishing in the kayak.

This is the kind of video I've spent weeks looking for. I'm learning about truck campers, but it seems like all the videos are walk-throughs and technical presentations. All I wanted was videos like this--real people actually taking a trip and living in their camper. Looks really fun. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your kindness.
Nice video, looks like you had a fun time. Loved Milo Thank you😊
thank you so much
You two working it out together is amazing. Looking forward to more contents.
Thanks so much. I am working on getting more videos out soon.
It looks like the AF 811 is really well suited for your travels. Thanks for taking me along!
thank you for watching
What a beautiful spot in a beautiful camper I love the new truck camper...
Thanks for sharing , looked like a real nice place. Hope you enjoyed your time. As always stay safe and healthy.
Thanks so much. It was lovely, and kind of nice to be spoiled in an actual campground.
Happy Camping!
Hello Johnsons! So nice to meet fellow UA-camrs and truck campers! The Gazelle looks pretty nice! Your pup is so pretty! Yummy - the nachos looks sooo good! Nice, relaxing camping adventure! Looking forward to more adventures with you guys! 💙Terry and Terri
Thank you so much!! We’re still new at the YouTubing and the Truck Camper, but we will try our best to entertain you. Milo appreciates the compliment and just can’t help being so handsome lol.
Until next time, Happy Camping!!!
@@johnsonsadventurequest Happy Camping to you guys too! ;-)
We're also from GP & just traded our 42' Fuzion toy hauler for a 2024 AF 811, we're also from the east coast...love your videos & your adventures...maybe we'll see you on one of our new adventures.
that is so crazy! thank you for watching. we will have some new content soon. happy camping!
Nice set up guys and good food love it.
Glad you enjoyed it. We love camping
COOL! Another Arctic Fox channel to subscribe to. I had an 811 for 10+ years. I upgraded to a 992 in 2020.
We love the 811, but that 992 is so cool. It would be an excuse for my husband to get that dually lol
Great video, camper looks nice and cozy. Lol “the look” was exactly what I get sometimes too..
Hahaha, Jason gets the look quite often. Thank you so much for the feedback.
Happy Camping!
New subscriber, how I wish we could buy a truck camper in the UK. Loved watching this channel and love Milo !❤
Thank you so much! I am really behind in getting content out, and will rectify that I promise. Thank you for subscribing. Milo says Hi!
Nice set up!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much.
Hey guys it was a pleasure meeting you and the dog (lol forgot his name) today at Swan Lake.. Nice trout by the way. And as requested for quality eating fish it’s best to cut the gills on both sides being careful not to cut yourself to bleed out the fish.
Cheers
Roger & Pam
Oh and the trout Pam caught weighed 6.7 lbs.
It was so nice meeting you and your wife (the real fisher lol). Your advice on trout fishing was invaluable. It was hard to wipe the smile off Jason’s face with the 2 huge trout he caught and Milo enjoyed supervising the whole event.
Thank you again, we hope to see you again soon. (I hope to get the video out in the next few weeks.) Happy fishing!!
7:52 when I saw the new ovens with the interior light, window in the door and backlit knobs, I HAD TO HAVE ONE, so when I installed my inverter under the oven/range, that was a perfect time to upgrade.
Thank you so much for the comment. So glad you like the oven lol. We love your channel.
Howdy 🤠 yall 😂😂😂
howdy y’all
We just stumbled across your channel today! Nice truck and camper! We sold our fifth wheel and bought a new 2021 Lance 1172 truck camper last December. We really like it. Thanks for sharing your travels!
P.S. We just subscribed.
Thank you so much for your kind words (and the subscription). Sounds like you did exactly what we did and just in the nick of time considering the price of fuel. We are really enjoying the freedom of the smaller camper. Being able to go farther off grid is how we like to explore.
I hope you continue to enjoy our adventures. Happy Camping.
Why did you sell out your 5th wheel to purchase the truck camper?
@@nia6849 Thanks for your question. Over the years we’ve actually owned two travel trailers and a fifth wheel. There are several reasons we sold the fifth wheel and bought our truck camper. The first was ease of travel when not towing. Not to mention pulling in and out of fuel stops and parking at restaurants. The other reasons are no tires, brakes, wheel bearings, etc. Also, there’s no license registration or annual vehicle safety inspection (in Texas a trailer safety inspection is required when the weight exceeds 4,500 lbs). We enjoyed the fifth wheel for the space, but our particular truck camper has everything our fifth wheel had, just on a smaller platform.
New sub ! Liked 😀👍❤️
Thanks for the sub

Thank you so much!!
nice video and truck camper
Thank you so much for your kind comments. Happy Camping!
@@johnsonsadventurequest thinking of buying the same setup. Is it stable and easy to drive. Thanks
It is very stable and easier to drive than with the 5th wheel. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with it.
Thanks for the video, nice work. I have a 2022 RAM 3500 short box [6'4"] and I'm wondering about the center of gravity of that camper on your rig. Do you have the 6'4" box too? If so, is the red arrow on the side of the camper right over your axle?? Thanks so much for your response.
Thank you. We are so glad you liked the video. Ours is a 2016 Ram 3500 short box. It is the reason we purchased the 811. We made sure to do our research and it does sit properly over the axle. I hope your questions has been answered. Happy Camping!
You have a beautiful rig. Congrats and safe travels. One thing I noticed, and I do this on my slide, your rubber seals did not "flip" completely out when you slid it out. I've always made sure that mine are completely flipped out. They make some 'bumps' that you can glue to your slide to assist. I'm not sure if it is all that important, but I've always thought that would allow a point of ingress/egress for small bugs if left that way. Would be interested to hear your or other's thoughts on that. Take care. ...again, nice rig. I'm envious :)
Thank you so much for the kind comment! I did mention to Jason about the slide seal when it happened and he forgot to fix it. We didn’t know about the “bumps” but are very interested. Do you know the name of them? (Thank you in advance).
Again, thank you and Happy Camping!
@@johnsonsadventurequest The ones I have seen so far, have been DIY projects. Glue/tape a small 'bump' on the middle of the slide that helps flip them in/out. I've watched a few UA-cam videos where other RV'ers have done similar. My slide is a deep slide, so I haven't had an issue with it so far, but I have been monitoring it. I could see how a shallower slide would have this problem though, and need a little 'assistance' like a bump. The below video is one of a few that I have watched where they have done so. Take care. ua-cam.com/video/NYv_8IT-tFY/v-deo.html
Thank you so much. We will let you know how it works out.
We have wolf creek 840. We love the truck camping. Nice video. How are you liking the 811. It looks great. Do you like how the truck handles it. Have a great day new here
HI! Thank you for watching. We really love the 811. The Ram 3500 seems to handle it very well. Of course a Dually would be better but we purchased the 811 specifically because it was rated for the single axle 1 tonne. Happy Camping!!
How is the generator with the Artic Fox? I've heard mixed reviews. Is it loud and does it create a lot vibration when running? Does it have an ECO mode?
Hi Brian. We heard those same reviews and it was a concern until we found out that the generator had been upgraded. It is not loud at all. We have had it running and can sit and have a normal conversation without it being a bother and it isn’t really loud outside either. They seem to have fixed the vibration problem as well.
I am not sure about the ECO mode, but I hope I have answered your questions. Happy Camping!
Thanks for the reply. I may make the switch from the 5th Wheel to Truck Camper next year.
