    I work as an Art director, Concept Artist and Matte Painter in the movie and TV industry. I have a fun career history, having worked on such movies as “Troll Hunter”, Oscar-nominated “Kon Tiki”, “Max Manus” and “The Mortal Instruments”, to name but a few.
    I'm fortunate enough to regularly work with Hollywood Director Harald Zwart and continue to develop my art. I am often travelling between movie locations and international film studios, and my iPad always travels with me!

    The perspective templates I made in procreate once. One with paralell lines and one with crossing lines. Then I exported them to photos, and use them over and over again each time I need them. Export them as png from Procreate on transparent background. Then you'll keep the transparent values when you import them again.

    :-) I allways set my canvas as big as possible, so 4096px wide (or high if standing format) unless I am just doing fast small thumbnail sketches, then I have minimum 2500px wide/high

    why do digital artists flip their drawing horizontally while in progress?

    • @Trupics
      @Trupics 7 років тому

      Well the reason I do it is to make sure my paintings look proportioned and nice from any angle.

    • @icandrawthings509
      @icandrawthings509 7 років тому

      When you flip a drawing you can immediatly see every proportional error you made clearly. Its like magic, i swear

      The traditional artists put the artwork behind their backs and use a mirror to see the reflection,in digital you just have to flip fro the same result :)
