Glad you enjoyed Tucson. It’s always interesting to see the places tourists find and enjoy. I’ve lived in Tucson my whole life (62years) and have never heard of Barrio Bread, never been to Amy’s Donuts or the Heritage Museum. I have only had a Sonoran Dog once.
Hahah, that's how it always is. We have so many things close to home we still have yet to do as well. Hopefully you'll be encouraged to go out and be a tourist in your own town. 😁
Great video! Happy you enjoyed your time in Tucson. Really is a hidden gem. Definitely need to visit Mount Lemmon, colossal cave, old Tucson, desert museum, agua caliente park next time you visit.
Yes, we only scratched the surface when we were there. There are definitely lots of places to check out on a second visit. Thanks for the suggestions 😃
Yes, we sadly didn't have time to make it into the mountains on this trip, but have heard so many great things that we're going to have to plan another visit to the area!
That’s bread !!!love when you shop around and look at the beautiful butterflies and the different things that are unique!! That’s a hotdog !! lol !! Wow lots of donates and a giant Apple fritter!!! Always enjoy your video with the adventures you are having !! As always BS & BK & BC !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for another great video. And, when my doctor asks me why I can't loose weight, I can respond by telling him I watch Home A Roam and it always makes me hungry. LOL You two are great!
It’s interesting to watch someone explore a place for the first time that you’ve known your whole life. I’d like to give you some advice about safety. Lots of the places you visited were in VERY bad parts of town. El Guero Canelo, Amy’s, the pottery place, and the botanical gardens are all in high crime areas of town. These are all places I’d still visit, but I keep my head on a swivel and focus on my surroundings. I noticed you walking to your car from Amy’s filming and talking, and then sitting in your car which made me cringe a little. Please enjoy your adventures as you do, just also be more aware of your surroundings, especially when you’re somewhere you’re unfamiliar with. BTW we just say “Sonoran dog” haha
Thank goodness for that! We've only seen it like that once on the first international donut day that they celebrated a few years ago. Which reminds us, it's coming up again on June 7!
El Guero Canelo is a common stop for me when I've the time to get to the original location, it's not better, I just like the history more, and the Sonoran Dogs are the best in the state, you have to literally cross the border into Sonora to get better. The mesquite bread from Barrio is worth a trip, but as you said, you have to be there in the summer. Another spot that's worth going to, especially if you're on the south side of Tucson is the Desert Museum, we go there every other year, for the last 28 years of living in Arizona. We live closer to Historic Bisbee and Tombstone, so we alternate the Kartchner Caverns (just a few minutes down State Route 90 from I-10) with the Desert Museum. One caveat, unlike Barrior Bread, you should avoid the Desert Museum in the middle of summer, it gets too hot to enjoy too quickly. We try to hit it in May or October. I've never been to that donut place. We're heading up to Tucson on Saturday, we'll add it to the list of places we hit while there.
Hope you enjoy the donuts! So many to choose from 😋 Thanks for all the great tips, too. We saw the desert museum on the map, but sadly didn't have enough time to go on this trip. Now we have a reason to return!

Haha I’ve never heard of barrio bread either and I work extremely close to there apparently

New sub here. I’m a recent stoke survivor and your videos have helped me during my recovery journey
Wow, hope your recovery continues well and you make a full recovery 🙏 Thanks for watching our videos.
The night sky was gorgeous and the bread looked mouthwatering.
Quite possibly the best bread we've ever had. It was delicious!
Such a GREAT taste of the area that is Tucson! Glad you showcased my hometown. Please next time venture up into our mountains for your next adventure!

It was a foodie paradise! 😋😋
Wow that’s a nice site. Thanks for the inclusion in your vid. It was so great to see you again. Good luck in your next rig search.
It was one of the nicest spots we've boondocked. Great we were able to cross paths again!
The Las Cienegas are is so huge, it should always have an area you could camp. You should have checked out empire ranch and the Elgin area.
It is huge and we were happy to have been able to find a quiet spot away from the crowds at some of the other areas.
Empire Ranch. We're headed there tomorrow.
Have fun! It's so peaceful there and has amazing sunsets!

😂😂 oh no! Our videos are going to have to start coming with a warning ⚠️
Great video! My wife loves your hair. Our daughter has very similar hair. 😊
My (M) Mum calls it my Julia Roberts hair 😁
Empire Ranch area where you camped? Good stuff south of there. Wine country.
Yeah the whole area is beautiful and surpassed our expectations. We definitely want to return.
Thanks for sharing! It’s wonderful to see your fascinating van life adventures. #TravelVlog
Thanks for the nice comment. We certainly have lots of adventures 😁

Thank you so much for the advice, we appreciate you looking out for us! We always strive to be aware of our surroundings and appreciate the heads-up.
I am glad the line up at the Rolling Pin is not that long 😜

Really like this video! What campground / BLM did you stay in?
Thanks! We loved this spot, it was called Las Cienegas National conservation area
Most of that grass you see is invasive buffle grass. Do us a favor and pull it up. Thanks
Oh how interesting. Do the cows not eat it then?
