I personally think that their first training on classical piano is a huge benefit to their future development. When they construct new songs they normally start at the piano and then convert everything into their current instruments.

Their parents did a mistake that turned into something good for us. They bought the sisters the videogame *Rockband* for Christmas so it was hard to get them to practice on the piano. Instead, their father asked them if they were interested in getting lessons on some real instruments and that is how it all began.

All 3 were pianists. Story was their parents got them that video game rock star or something like that. They loved it so much they wanted to play for real. And here we are ! Awesome
Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 19.
In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America opening for Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. In 2023 they did 75 shows in thirteen countries, opening for Muse nine times, opening for Guns and Roses, and playing at the MTV VMAs. In 2024 they will play Shiprock, Tecate P’al Norte Festival in Monterrey, Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, tour Europe, Mad Cool festival in Madrid, and the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
They are classically trained pianists; Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They were on the Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. Later, all graduated high school through home schooling. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They started as a cover band; the Enter Sandman cover launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances.

@@RussInCanada Rush have done 19 albums or something so they have a bit more leeway for some mediocre tracks. But you are quite right that The Warning have so far not put out a duff song, and I'd say their songwriting really is first class - interesting, original, thoughtful, and just generally rockin'. It's hard to keep that up for an entire career, especially as theirs could be ridiculously long if they stick it out till they are old ladies; but I guess we all look forward to finding out how that goes.

I'm 77. When I was in college it was they heyday of guitar band rock (The Beatles and Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, etc.). As far as I'm concerned, The Warning is the best fucking guitar band since then. No 10 or 15 minute narcissistic guitar or drum solos. just great music. Songwriting is their secret sauce. They fucking don't know how to write a bad tune. Every song has a melodic phrase or lyric you'll find yourself singing to yourself in the shower or while folding the laundry. There are better bands in terms of technical ability (Rush, Band Maid), and who I like, but The Warning writes better songs.

@@leekovalskyj9218 When it comes to songs, hookier means better. Instrumentally, Rush could play rings around TS, as can Band Maid. i just don't think many of their fans do (or even CAN) sing their songs in the shower.

“The Warning” were formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They are a great live band that has opened for Muse, Halestorm, Guns and Roses, and The Foo Fighters. They also have a cover of Enter Sandman on Metallica's Blacklist album. Any song from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022 concert would be a great next step; I love Animosity and for an acoustic sound try Revenant. they are known to be better in their live performances than their audio recordings… probably the best rock band of my generation 🤘and all of them can sing lead… Dany the guitarist is the main singer, Pau the drummer has her rock ballads while playing drums (which is rare), Ale doesn’t like to sing lead as much but she is killer when she takes over🤘

Pau came up with *Evolve* after watching a documentary about evolution and gene manipulation... this isn't the first time she has drawn inspiration from a TV show or movie, either...
Fun Fact: Pau has three screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , and the other in *Hunter* ...
Fun Fact: during soundchecks, she's been known to use a much less powerful "Waaaaaaaaaa!" instead of "The Scream"... gotta save that scream for use at the proper times, ya know? LOL

*a little history:*
many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany on guitar, Pau on drums [like "POW!"], and Ale on bass [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters...
in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music...
in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it...
DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along...
Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her "Ale's Inferno" colored Spector NS-XL 5-string... she has been a Spector Featured Artist since she was 15 years old... her NS-XL bass has a 35" neck on it.. Ale worked with the Spector team to create the coloring of the bass and they named "Ale's Inferno"... Ale has also recently acquired a blue Spector bass that she played in most of their 2023 concerts...
Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums as passionately as she does... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old...
Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing...
Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live...
today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 19 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Metropolitan Theater (Teatro Metropolitan) in Mexico City (CDMX) holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)...
some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... they were also the only ones playing on the Extended Stage to be announced on the Main Stage when their songs were played! DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure...
additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and have just finished their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe...
i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey...

Welcome to The Warning rabbit hole! Playing live is their superpower, I'd suggest watching their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert (Z, Animosity, Disciple are good starting points, IMHO) or their 2023 MTV VMA performance where they performed Evolve & More. Definitely watch Evolve from that show!

Live is generally better with one major exception, you need to watch the music video XXI Century Blood from their first album in 2017, they were 12, 15 and 17 when they released it and it is the best introdudtion you can get to how talented they have been as composers, lyricists, musicians and performers from a very early age. The song is great, the video is azazing and it is a great showcase to the beginning of what has been a major theme it thier music about the dangers of modern technology to society.

Finally someone points out that killer drum fill into the second chorus. It's my favourite part of the whole song. And yeah that's Pau (POW!) screaming in the breakdown. You should see her do it on the MTV VMAs. Pau is a killer drummer and performer, and she does that scream every show.

The drummer's name is Pau (POW!) and she quickly became my favourite drummer. She's also a great singer, and the band's primary songwriter, beginning most of their songs on piano before bringing them to her sisters to turn them into fully-fleshed out bangers.
I'm a newer fan, having written them off as a gimmick child/sister act when they first showed up in 2014, but after finally hearing them I was quickly sold, and fell right in love with them. Haven't felt that excitement for a rock band in many years.
They have three albums, including a concept album, and dozens of absolute bangers with great lyrics, great hooks, and great drums. And they're amazing people as well, very humble and east-going. Check out their recent gear run-throughs they recorded for Digital Tour Bus if gear is your thing. They're three great videos recorded individually.

That drummer is PAU (Paulina, but pronounced POW, like what she does to that kit). In addition to drums she is an accomplished pianist and vocalist, and writes most of their songs.

I love that they're still developing their craft. The studio version is great, but was recorded in 2020. They next did a live session in 2021, I think. After that was the Teatro Metropolitan performance in 2022. And finally was the VMAs in 2023. To see how far they've come just in that time, check out each performance. It's truly stunning. Dany's vocals keep getting better, more textured in all the right ways. Pau's drumming just gets tighter and more efficient and her vocals stronger. And Ale's bass riffs are always killer, and she's starting to get more comfortable with her mic higher in the mix.

I know, "Mind Blown". Three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Classically trained multi-instrumentalist. They have been playing together for over a decade and have a deep catalog of bangers. They are currently signed to Lava Records. The main vocalist is Dany on guitar, backing vocals, the secondary vocalist and backing vocals and piano is Pau on drums, and Alejandra (Ah-Lee) performs piano, bass, and backing vocals.....and every blue moon she will sing lead vocals if the need arises. The funny thing is Pau remembers going into a vocal booth and recording some screams when they were recording the album but she doesn't remember it being that intense and guttural. Now she has to do her best to recreate it every time they perform the song live. 🤣

This band is a experience far above anything else. Three sisters who play rock the way they want to do it. Ever since they started as kids, they where approached by companies that wanted to sign them, but since all of them wanted to change what they wanted to do and who they wanted to be, they walked out from the meetings and stayed independent until 2019. Up un to that point they released two full length albums XXI´st Century blood (2015) and Queen Of The Murder Scene (2017) which is a concept album, They also released a EP called Escape the mind (2015). After 7 months of negotiations where they got to keep full control over their music and keep their Patreon account, they finally signed with LAVA records in 2019 and since then they have released a third album called ERROR (2022) and probably in the beginning of 2024 they are going to release their yet unnamed 4th album from which they have showcased two new songs during the closing of their 2023 World tour. On their page here on UA-cam you can find tons of live performances, Vlogs and concerts, personal performances and goofing around. These sisters are very much in touch with their fans and treat us like we where family. The Warning have a sincere aura of authenticity and they are not fake any where. They have 50+ original songs and not one of them is bad. They are unable of writing bad music which probably comes from their work ethics, they don´t do anything half baked. Yep, 3 Sisters from Mexico. They're the real deal. Incredibly talented doesn't even begin to describe them. Pau, the drummer is amazing and that was her actually doing the scream of destruction. Yes that is Pau's famous scream of doom. That girl has a hell of a set of pipes. To experience The Warning you really have to see their live concert footage, because they bring that energy non stop. Look I've been a metal head since the 80s and there are only a few bands that impact the world. The Warning ARE that band for the 21st century. I've never seen such a fire, hunger and rooted passion for music for at least 35 years. We are all about to be blessed with a 4th album, and were just gifted 3 brand new songs recently (More, Hell You Call A Dream, and Sick). Because they are sisters with such a bond (and A very loving family) you get the real deal. There's no fake BS or egos. They are humble, gracious, and adore their fans. During the lockdowns the girls created some great videos and performed a concert in their "cave" (parents basement). Pau loves to bake and did a couple live videos of that. Dany, Pau and Ale had one of the funniest Mario Kart videos (you talk about competitive...WOW!) And so much more. These girls are more than just a band. They are shakers and game changers.
