If you are looking for a taxi to Pattaya,proceed upstairs to departures and wait for a drop off there,many taxis dropping off passengers from Pattaya and so they will take a cheaper price immediately,1000 but the very most including motorway fees !!
There are two immigration processing areas for arrivals. If the line at the first immigration area you come to is long you can keep walking to the second one. Once you clear immigration you may need to walk a bit to your baggage carousal, but it is still often quicker than waiting in the long line.
Arrived this week, changed money on the base floor, very good rates there! The food court was new for me, most times use the airport link😊instead of taxi. Love ❤️ this airport, easy, clean, well organised AND it’s in Bangkok 😘😘stay safe 🙏🇹🇭
I would recommend to use the MRT instead of the taxi, just as easy and cheap. The only donwside is that you might need to walk from your MRT stop (together with all that luggage) to your destination and Bangkok does not have that many paved roads unfortunately. It's probably still cheaper to use this method though.
I totally agree. Why pay a taxi driver 500-600 THB, when I take the train to Phaya Thai for 70THB? Then It’s only another 60THB to travel down the Sukhumvit line up to Nana.

Was just in thailand and landed in surv airport. You can get a grab at the airport it was like $20 to sukhumvit

Keep the ticket for the taxi (don’t give to the taxi driver or take the photo of the ticket). If you have the problem with the taxi driver or left something in the taxi , they can check from the ticket.

Airport is simple done in 3 minutes but if 711 does the same support. Im down for 711!

If you're going from Suvarnabhumi to Don Muang, then there is a free shuttle bus on the 2nd floor (arrivals) at door 3

Important add-on for the Taxi. Always take the highway, and be prepared to give the driver the tolls fee money when he asks for it. It's not a scam.

I remember being there the day it opened. What a disaster. It was like they brought it forward unexpectedly. My plane was due to fly into the old airport. Things were still being welded, an escalator stopped unexpectedly and people rolled down like 10 pins. They mixed up everyone's luggage so it was coming down the wrong lanes. The solution was to pull it all off and make a pyramid out of it! Good times great trip.

Indeed. Bkk is so well done, you cant believe it. 2 min to get sim, so many money change counters. Luggage storage, taxi arrangements, transport options.... food courts, even 7-11 at the airport !.... Thank you Thai Govt. I cant stop going to Thailand. If they can mandate hotels to sell water and some food(may be even vending machines), it helps if you checked in odd hours.

It's not street food, but a food court like the ones you find at most shopping malls. And it was originally ment for the employees at the airport. That's why the food are cheap there.

How to find domestic air ticket in this airport ?
I went to the money change place and they refused to give me baht from my Credit card and told to withdraw from atm next to it. Terrrible rate so they nowadays also scam on there. Taxi driver didn't want to turn the meter on and demanded 1000 baht for 1 hour drive but I didn't have choice to get out since I had to be in my hotel in 1 hour.
Your videos are so informative! Are there busses to Ayutthaya directly from Airport? If not how to reach the Bang Sue Grand railway station from the BKK airport? On this note, can you make videos on how to reach nearby attractions like Ayutthaya, Pataya, Ratchaburi by local transport from Bangkok?

You can use it from one mail, and also you should put your boarding pass information

Value Added Tax... Tax paid on items purchased... So you can get a refund before departure

It’s what a consumption taxis called in Europe. In other parts of the world they refer to it as GST.
@@igshaanabdullah1717 You’re right, but it’s not from every store it’s usually from large department stores or high end Jewellry shops. There might be a minimum spend threshold to be entitled to a VAT refund. Ask before purchasing if you an get a VAT refund at the airport.

Hi, like your video. In regards to a taxi ride, do we have to pay road user charges on top of a meter cost? Thanks
Technically no, but they will probably drive 10 miles out of the way to avoid the toll roads. If youre in Bangkok you are guaranteed to get stuck in traffic & this will all be going on your meter.
Toll charges are excluded paid by passenger. If taxi driver don't ask, he'll add above the metered charges at end of journey. It's usually 2 toll stations- first 50 baht plus 20 baht second, depending which highway driver takes. Best way is always prepare the exact small toll amount and pass to driver to pay once you pass the stations. This way, your final metered fare is same as shown.

Would you recommend leaving the airport if I have a 1-6am layover? There won't be anything open in the lower levels of the airport, and the metro rail doesn't run then either, so I'm wondering if it's worth it to grab a few hours sleep in those little 'sleep boxes' next to the money changers by the metro entrance...?

Very few taxis have baby seats. But I think some of those taxi companies on FB might provide it on request.

No. ALL ATM fees are 220THB , regardless of how much you withdraw.
I love BKK airport, especially when I arrive. 😂 (probably 30-40 times during the past 20 years or so)

Dont forget bolt or grab to use for transport into the city which is from the same level as the arrivals hall when you exit customs.

I negotiated my price with the taxi it should not be more than $500 baht FYI depending on your destination my hotel offered shuttle but they wanted 1500 baht for that way too much

That’s confusing having the dollar sign in front of the 500, and then mentioning Baht after it.... either way, I only take the airport rail link to Phaya Thai for about 70THB , then take the Sukhumvit line for another 60 Baht., and I’m at my hotel room 1hr later from the time I boarded the train at the airport.

No dude you don't have to tip them. Occasionally I have told the driver to keep the change if it's a couple of dollars. But that was in Australia 🇦🇺

All inclusive depends on your distance from 200 to 600 baht
You pay if you use the taxi on the queue ( not expensive 30, 40 (but depends on how many Tollway you will pass ) but you don’t have to pay if you use the limousine taxi.

That airport is huge but I managed to find my way.
-I suggest you arrive 3 hours before your flight.
-Lines through security and immigration can take a while. Also, lines to certify your receipts and another line to refund your certified receipt.
-Another, take the rail if you want to avoid traffic or inflated taxi fares.
-I have At&t and it won't allow a sim card.
I think leaving your Hotel 3-3.5 hours before your flight departs, as it’s about a 60 min taxi ride in the BKK afternoon traffic. It’s about a 40min taxi ride from central BKK if you’re leaving really early in the morning.

It depends where your hotel is located. I was just 5 min from the airport rail. It was a 20 min ride to the airport.
