Serious bench press knowledge. Appreciate it bro. I’m looking forward to have you as my future coach in the future . I’ve been working out since I was 15
Larsen press - full competition style, pause at chest, setup like u do in a competition and then just remove your legs from the ground. Work on 4-6 rep range and maybe on 2nd day go to 8-10 rep range. When taking pauses remember the cues, bring chest to bar, tight scaps , belly tight. Feet up bench press increases the rom as ur arch shortens. Also good for Hypertrophy. Also no arch develops the tissue resilience and mass there. Larsen and feet up aren't interchangeable.
Consistently found my pec felt better the day after feet up pressing with the pelvis posteriorly tilted and close grip. Called it "bro bench". Also believe it was due to the free scapula motion and big nice movement on the pecs
@@seannoriega1024 but isn't one of the arguments FOR the powerlifting style bench the shoulder stability it gives from the retraction and depression of the scaps? (Although I always kinda doubted that since pinching the scaps to the bench restricts the movement by a lot)
Generally intermediate to advanced lifters find success with the feet up close grip reverse grip touch n go spoto bench press when they use it as a main hypertrophic variation during a Mesozoic era mesocycle. Now this is not to say that you should be neglecting your supinated dead bug towel rows, but I think theres a time and place for everything when it comes to maximizing your intra abdominal pressure - especially during a ketogenic refeed when you may be somewhat deficient in testosterone and serotonin. Anyway, when I execute the FUCGRGTNGSBP I like to slap on a Slingshot, bend the bar, spread the floor (and my glutes), while engaging in Samsaric meditation. I find this helps my glycemic index stay in tip top shape. Try it out.
I can't believe you didn't mention who Adrian Larsen is, the originator and benched 585 lbs raw. He did it that way because he was a polio victim and couldn't use leg drive.
This series is about to be the gold standard of bench KNOWLEDGE.

Instructions unclear, changed my name to Larsen and cut off my legs
Literally commented on your IG yesterday, and you delivered 💪🏾💪🏾
I implemented larsen a while back for the exact reasons you listed, so good to know I'm on the right track.

amazing video sean. appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge, being you are one of the most knowledgeable powerlifters in the game.
best christmas present
This is golden
Literally just found out abkut lardon press and this was my fist question lol
Thanks coach
can’t wait for the next one!
How do I incorporate feet up close grip reverse grip touch n go spotto bench press with a slingshot?

@@liveslowlivesimple how do reverse bands, bamboo bar and chains factor into this
Great video. Thanks for sharing this knowledge
Great information!
Sounds pretty accurate my coach has me doing feet up right now but in season leading up to a meet I do Larsen.
awesome
Me watching this and realizing I probably need both variations :/
Great information tysm
I have a test coming up where larsen press and feet up press are the options, which do you think is easier?
thanks sean
I bench with my feet up legs crossed what would you call that? Feet are not even on the bench
Thanks Sean!

KNOWLEDGE.
bench video?! does this mean an arch video is up next?
😏😏😏 perhaps
Great info
What do you think about the floor press?
What’s your wingspan? If you even know
The touch points on my comp bench and Larsen press are different, is that a problem?
Whats a good variation for a very low arch bencher?
For someone with lower spine curvature issues/lower back pain, would feet up bench be better than Larsen press then?
Burrito brought me here
Should these bench variations be done with a competition pause, or do you recommend doing touch and go?
Larsen would definitely be a waste to not pause. Feet up is at your discretion
Just come from Candito Training HQ!!!
Out of curiosity do you think the ultimate upper pec excercise would be a reverse close grip incline bench press?
Thank god you finally ditched adipowers on the bench. Their grip sucks and heels make no sense if you don't tuck feet back.
This is great shit
Great video and super good explained! I would love more like this :D
Kingdok
13:30 super-super quick video? that was some long winded shit
Just have a ridiculous arch so you don't actually have to do the lift, right Sean? Cheater.
