Yes, at the time he was thin. But I recorded this over 2 years ago and he has gained weight since then. When I recorded this video, I had just moved into a new apartment and Puff was pretty stressed out so he wasn't eating as much. Once he got used to his new surroundings he was okay :)

It's quite a symbiotic relationship really. The cat keeps the lizard comfortably warm, while kitty gets a good scratch when s/he nuzzles up to the lizard.

In answer to your other question, my cat Puppet never really attacks anything...she's very gentle and only ever wants to rub on Puff's spikes or sniff him. You just have to observe your cat, and it's quite easy to tell if it's going to strike. When I introduce Puff to another animal, I usually hold him a few feet away, & watch their reaction. Some cats get all big-eyed and start trying to swat him, so I take him away. But in most cases, they're either afraid of him or completely uninterested :)

I know this video is from 8 years ago but even if the cat and beardie don't seemed bothered by eachother it's still really bad to have them together. Their fur is bad for the beardies skin and the paws have a lot of bacteria. Even if you don't think there's a problem or that your lizard seems effected by it, it's really bad for their little systems. If you look it up on Google I'm sure there's a couple things on this subject
Yes, mine kills them 😭 That's why I don't let him out in my backyard unless my dog and I are out there to supervise him. My dog chases lizards too but he doesn't kill them.

What’s even better is cat saliva is poisonous to bearded dragons, cats are natural hunters. If the dragon moves like the cats pray it’s likely it’ll go for it. Fun times. We love animal abuse that people can’t figure out.
Cats love to rub against scratchy surfaces and reptiles love heat sources so this makes sense :)

Yes, mine kills them 😭 That's why I don't let him out in my backyard unless my dog and I are out there to supervise him. My dog chases lizards too but he doesn't kill them.
@@little.bear344 Mine too. He hunts & brings them into the house. I finally bought a long-handled minnow/bait net to catch them before he fatally mauls them. Very fond of the little creatures.

What’s even better is cat saliva is poisonous to bearded dragons, cats are natural hunters. If the dragon moves like the cats pray it’s likely it’ll go for it. Fun times. We love animal abuse that people can’t figure out.
