    Nice gold, I got one gram today very stained with manganese and nickel / iron. Serpentinite country rock, no quartz anywhere.

      Highly mineralized soils give strong signals so the waving over a signal has purpose. Ground noise will change in pitch as the detector works it out. Ground noise will cancel out but a proper target will not.
