Public Land Kansas Whitetail

- After having punched a tag on public land in Kansas the year before, Brennen Nading was excited to head back to the same area in hopes of a repeat. With very little intel, the plan was to head into areas with the decoy and make some noise in hopes of firing up a rut crazed buck. After several slow hunts, and jumping around from piece to piece, he finally landed on “the spot” and had a great hunt!

at 12:50, that snort wheeze matched perfectly with the music. Great editing!
👊
Great public land buck! Some people think a big buck is easy because it's Kansas, but this video shows just how tough it can be to find a decent buck, especially on public. I live here in Kansas, and some years I dont see anything bigger than 130" but it's Kansas, and ya never know what might step out. Congrats on a successful hunt!
We couldn’t agree more. The element of the unknown is what keeps us wanting to hunt Kansas every year. Best of luck this season 🤘
Congratulations on an awesome buck! Hard work does pay off. I purchased a preference point for the fall 2024 season to hopefully draw with 2 points and hunt the 2025 season in Kansas. Can you tell me a little bit about how you set up your decoy, wind, and your stand in relation to that. I plan to play around with a decoy out there but don't have much experience. TY for sharing a great story. Curt WhiteTAILS Deer Hunting
We typically set up our decoy 20-25 yards with the decoy slightly quartering towards the stand. Always set your decoy with the wind blowing towards your stand also. That usually helps direct the deer in between your stand and your decoy setup. Good luck 👍
TY so much for the information guys. I love the platform we as hunters have created to share and learn from one another.
Didn’t they ban cams this year? I live here and am starting to hunt here as I’m from Colorado I usually elk hunt so was just wondering. Thank you
No answer to the question?
Yes they were banned, I'm assuming this was a '22 hunt. If it was a '23 hunt they hung the cam illegally.
Dude you’re the only other person I know other than me that shoots elite and swhacker. Fan for life!
🤘
Elite are the best bows, they just don't use social media to force feed their bows down your throat so they aren't as popular
I was surprised he cam to that snort wheez! Your stand was in that thin strip and I thought he wouldn't trust that call cause he could see.. Great public buck!!!
Yeah it was a lot of luck but we will take it lol. Thanks for watching Bryan.
Heading to Kansas in 48 hours… can’t wait
Best of luck to you bud 🍻

Didn’t Kansas outlaw trail cams on public land?
