Probably too foggy, arm was outward from body. May have looked blatant from ref’s line of sight. That’s football though. The weather and ref is part of the game. Too bad no VAR, league 1 would be completely different with VAR though.

How was that a penalty? The defender had his back to the player, so wasn't intentional. The attacker hit the ball hard, so it had to be ball to hand. Irresponsible decision by the ref. Penalties should only be given if the defender handles the ball on purpose, not accidentally or deflects a certain goal. These silly decisions result in teams losing or winning a game and spoiling it for the fans. Great goal from Mullin.
So every defender just needs to turn their back and flail their arms away from their body and they won’t get penalty calls against them? ….nah It would have been different if his arms were not flailing around. I think that might have been what the ref were deciding when he gave that call. Might have looked unnatural to the ref
Slow it down and zoom in if you have any doubts. I set the video to 0.25x speed and zoomed in and watched it back about a dozen times. Looks to me like it clearly hits his lower tricep of his left arm, just above his elbow. Counts as a hand ball. And, from the refs vantage point he would have been able to see that clearly. Good call. Good win.
